At my workplace, 95% of my coworkers are PhDs (many are from ivy league schools ). They value numbers. I was one of the few people who got a raise last year despite the company not doing well and it was my first year. They told me it was because I was doing better than most people in terms of numbers. While others started projects (which some were pretty impressive), I kept doing what I was hired to do. they didn’t know how to quantify the projects. They simply saw how many documents I produced and problems I solved and were impressed. Although it might not reflect how competent I am, it was easy for them to measure how well I did. (To be fair, they did tell me that they were impressed with the quality as well. And I was pretty bold and took more risks than other new people )

I've been enjoying your content daily. Recently experienced a challenge after dictating a year in a new state for an area role. Literally used so many of your videos to produce undeniable results. Unfortunately the executives outside the pilot program had their minds made up to leave the program prior to my arrival. They pulled out last month. My director had just opened a regional position within my area and it appeared I was in line. My director and the seniors got together and made a role for me that has national implications. I know you played a huge part in this. I'd love to hear a piece on the steps to defining your philosophy. Thank you in advance Dr Grace.
