If you use a hand puppet that looks like a hawk on one hand while handling your chameleon it will allow it to gain confidence and lose it's fear of winged predators.

This video actually helped me tame my baby veiled chameleon who just turned 5 months yesterday! I’ve had him for awhile now and I’m very glad this video could help! Thank you!

He shouldn’t have calcium with d3 everyday 🙈. He should have calcium with out d3 6 days a week alternating d3 and vitamins 2x a month ... he’s super cute tho!!

Just got a Senegal Chamelion. Hope he gets the handling personality trait. Any tips?

Yeah man you can definitely work with him and tame him down pretty easily. The most important tip is patience and caution when interacting with him. They are really attentive so move slow and be gentle. Let me know how it goes!

Yeah definitely! Your on the right track, just try not to scare him by reaching in to grab him, you’ll have a great little companion. Make sure you use calcium and vitamins every time you feed him! Good luck :D

i know this is a very old video so i’m hoping i get a reply 😅. anyways ever since i started feeding my 5 month old veiled chameleon by hand/tweezers, he’s always been trying to eat my hand instead. he has bit me before because he thinks my hand is food and now im kinda afraid that he will forever think my hand is food and that i wont be able to handle him without getting bitten or maybe not even being able to handle him at all.

Do you have tips for backing out of my hand? He’s pretty easy to get out with a worm but as soon as he’s in my hand he doesn’t climb up my arm he will try to back out of it 😂

I want a chameleon. But I was wondering if it is possible to train it to only go to the toilet in its tank so if I let it out in my room or it gets out, it will not poo or pee somewhere in my room which I will not be able to clean up because I do not know where the chameleon has done it. Is it possible to train it so it only goes potty in the tank/vivarium???

2 days a week vitamin? the facebook group told me MAYBE twice a month?
@TrickStarz2 жыл бұрын
I would do a lot of research, chameleons are so incredibly sensitive to diet and environment. Keeping them alive is a pretty big challenge to be completely honest.

Does this same method applies to a veiled chameleon?
@TrickStarz4 жыл бұрын
Yes of course it will work for your veiled chameleon also, they can be a little more aggressive when they get old but if you spend time with them often they can be very sweet!

I have raised a very aggressive chameleon and now I don’t know what to do I wish I saw this two months ago when I got mine😖

I think you can still tame him down, just follow the steps and give him space. It’s hard to refrain from holding him but it is worth it to build trust!

My veiled cham won’t hand feed at all, any tips?
@TrickStarz3 жыл бұрын
Just be patient and don’t scare him, you don’t want to be going into his cage and pulling him out, let him be, once he feels safe around you he will start to show himself and let you feed him! Hope this helps. ❤️
