uncle ben! you could make a sloped metal roof for those 5 pens! if you get 2 planks and lay them across the top at even spaces, tie them down, and then laay a triangle or sloped plank on one side, you can then staple in some metal shingles on the top so the water runs over the side! make sure the ends of the metal is farther than the end of the pen as well as at a lower elevation, otherwise the water will run back into the pen. good job uncle ben!

Filling pizza boxes with sticks is my favorite way of starting fires. Great for attaching to camping supplies because they are so light. The cardboard will also keep the sticks dry for a reasonable amount of time if it starts raining.

UNCLE BEN!!!! Pipe clamp band poles in front of all of those pens you made (with horizontal ones in front) so when adding covers, they are at a 30 or at least a 15 degree angle so precipitation slides back behind everything and you don't have to go in and push water off the way you used to. Make a 'lean to' type roof for all the pens, bro, er...uncle daddy Mister Ben. You could even use 2x4s if you don't have metal poles but if memory serves, didn't you have a bunch laying around or did you sink those to make more fence? AAAaaaaanyway, yeah. I have to think of everything. Jeesh.

We have a prairie dog and you'd be surprised how smart and social these animals are. Our prairie dog barks every morning when, greeting my boyfriend when he wakes up. He loves cuddles and is so comfortable with us he lets us grab him under his arms and flip him to scratch his belly. He's very communicative and comes when you call his name. We also recently bought the bathing sand and he absolutely loves it, uses it everyday multiple times and now here's how intelligent these creatures are. Out prairie dog has 2 floors in his cage. The top one has a fuzzy plush throw that he sleeps in and everything else is on the bottom including the bathtub. Well, recently our prairie dog started acting way too smart for how small and dumb looking he is. He actually pushed the bathtub from underneath the platform where he has the blanket, pulled a piece of the blanket down so it's hanging over the edge of the platform and now whenever he takes a bath, rolls around in the sand and gets the sand everywhere in his face, he actually uses the hanging piece of the blanket as a towel to rub the sand off of his face. I literally couldn't believe it when my boyfriend said that. He actually took a bath and then cleaned himself with a towel like humans do. I'm honestly shocked and can't wait what else that little guy comes up with. We've only had him for a year, since he was 3 months old, and he's absolutely amazing. I highly recommend getting a prairie dog as a pet.
