These kittens were born at a job site to a feral mom and were never handled until captured. Our plan is to tame them and find them appropriate homes. If we can't do that they will stay here as barn cats to replace our 23 year old barn cat who recently passed. We will have all three spayed/neutered of course at the appropriate time. The black and white one is the calmest and the tiny tortoise shell is the most feisty. The lighter tortie is in between.

We were bottlefeeding feral kittens, and my sons wore those giant gloves on their hands when doing it (I didn't wear any). We had one kitten (Winnie), who used to hiss and bite in between sips, haha. We kept her because she was so feral, and then one day, I woke up with her on my chest, in my face, staring at me. From that day forward, she CANNOT be without her humans, especially my younger son. His room is her room, and she absolutely ADORES him. She loves us all, but he's her favorite brother from another mother, lol. I find that the ferals end up being the cuddliest, and most needy of human interaction, once they are domesticated. Even if they don't like me, I love them with my entire being, although they all fall in love with me, too, ha. ❤️

A strange occurrence happened with the cat I own today. She is most assuredly from the wild as she had no collar. No missing posters put up. No locals were looking for her. Even put up a Facebook post about it. Nothing. But simply put we were doing groceries in our apartment. Left the door open and she let herself into our home. Into our lives like she was meant to be there. Simply laid out on the floor fully and meowed, just once. And I knew right there she wanted to be part of my family. She is the most behaved feline I have seen personally in a long time.

I have taken in spicy babies i found in my yard and it was so cute on day one the spiciest one came out his carrier and snuggled me. He was the healthiest and ended up being the only survivor the others were too far gone. But once the others saw him cozy to me they slowly came out i let them sniff at me didn’t pet and waited till they also snuggled. So precious. That was a once in a life time taming experience for me though.

Feral cats can be trained at any age. When they are that young they are very easy to train without gloves by using food, treats, play, toys, and brushes. Much more humane.

Hi Lucky, Thanks for the comment. This cat bit my husband badly and bit through the gloves. Now she and the other two are quite tame. They were rescued by us off of an industrial site and one had already starved to death. So I think calling us inhumane for rescuing, taming and giving these three cats a home is a bit harsh, in fact could be interpreted as....catty. Meow!

Are there two torties?! In one litter?? I love Tortoise Shells. I had one myself I had to euthanize due to congestive heart failure back in 2014. These little ones remind me of her. I once had to check on a kitten whose eyes were probably opened not long before and couldn't see clearly. Very fiesty. But when i was able to gentle touch her, she fell over and shat herself 😅. Luckily she quickly calmed down when i started giving her scritches.

When they are that age you can pretty much just pick them up they realize quickly they can’t do much and usually surrender but I’ve had a couple ferals that were fine with me but once they were adopted wouldn’t let anyone touch them for weeks they also kinda go in shock sometimes when you pick them up like they don’t know what to do and will still have some aggressive tendencies

Thanks for your comment. That is pretty much what we did many times a day "flooding" the kittens until they figured it out. My husband spent most of the time with them and all three love him now. Two are good with me by the spitter still avoids me mostly. I put a link in their progress in the description.

I have 2 feral, trapped them and tamed them. Only took a couple of days and they were good enough to handle and pet. My 2 were 6 wks old when I got them.

When I captured a feral, orphan kitten in my front bushes I wrapped her in a towel with just her head sticking out and held her and pet her head. She was only about 4 weeks old and very hungry so she tamed fairly quickly. But there was no way I could put my hand in the kennel.

Quickest way: put wet food in cage, scratch butt w/o glove! Then pick up by scruff of neck and scratch their head. Ive caught by hand and tamed over 500 kittens!

Thanks for the tip, Patty. They are doing great. We have had them for about three weeks now. One of the torties will play and roll over for belly rubs, black and white is calm and easy to handle. The hissy tortie still hisses but is easy to handle. We moved them to a very large enclosure where we can sit with them. Soon they will be ready for homes.

I don’t know how true this is, but I was told if you take a feral cat and leave them in the trap like you have and throw a blanket over there I was told that helps make them tame I don’t know if it’s true or not but that’s what I heard Anyways, thank you for taking good care of those two little rascals. That's what we did when fostering our neighborhood stray's kittens. They spit at first, but after much rubs and especially when offered food, they succumbed to love ❤️ Didn't need gloves either! Miss them all.

Food is the other best way to tame the spicy kitties. Once they come to eat can pet. Associate you with food and petting quickly. Both great methods.

A cat (feral with a clipped ear) has been coming over to my front door. Now I feed it and have ordered an outdoor home, let's see if it's going to be used. It's a small black cat, looks young but not quite a kitten. Hopefully he/she warms up to me soon.

Those look like kittens. My adopted cat was found in a barn. They said she is shy. I have not touched her. I use laser beams, food, water, treats, and speak kindly. She doesn't like catnips. She is starting to move closer to me with her paws folded under her. Sometimes, I look into her eyes and blink slowly. I will be patient.

My sweet little cat had her kitten 4 weeks ago its funny to see one of the boys hiss like he's a big tough guy, but he is just a big sweet heart and all three of them know when I let their mom out of the carrier to eat/drink and use the litter box they get to run around for a bit out of the carrier. My husband is unfortunately allergic to cats and so we keep them in the carrier so that we know where they are and I don't have to go hunting around the whole house for them and it is a pretty big carrier so they have plenty of room in there to play my infant son loves getting to see them in whenever I go past with him one of the kittens runs to the carry your door and stares out it until we go up to him, my son squeals with the light every time he sees any of our cats or the kittens
