You can actually get both brain of confusion and worm scarf in one world by placing the dryad in a graveyard in hardmode which will allow you to purchase corrupt or crimson seed (corrupt in crimson world and vica versa) and you can plant them and they'll make surface biome where you can spawn the opposite world's boss.

Note: Another highly recommended item is the star veil! As it turns out the "floating eyes" don't chase you behind walls on multiplayer servers (probably a bug). I highly recommend the use star veil in single player, as it'll reduce the spikiness of his damage a lot and will frequently lead to you not taking beam damage. You can replace the ninja gear or shiny stone with it. It's still manageable and several people have done that using that setup.

I'm kinda surprised that nobody's mentioned this (or maybe I missed it), but the black spot (used to summon the pirate ship mount) appears to have gotten patched a few months ago. Apparently it used to be way faster, but now it moves about as quickly as the UFO mount (according to the wiki). Still, really nice video and I think it could really help people playing on slightly older versions!

Still moves at 81mph on mobile. The moon lord star surfboard mount is even faster horizonally, and combined with the empress of light drop that grants unlimited flight, you don't even need a mount

I just did this strat and noticed that my armor dropped when I got into the honey. It seems like being deep enough in honey to get the honey regen buff is also deep enough to switch the celestial charm from werewolf mode to merfolk mode, which has different stats. SInce the honey buff lasts for a while after leaving it I recommend hopping in for a split second then using a grappling hook to pull yourself out quick to make use of both buffs. edit: a frost hydra is a huge help in p1 as well. Amazing strat though I never even came close to beating p1 before watching this and now I have beaten him twice.

I think you didn't notice that if your dragon hitting the target like cultist (for example) your pierce melee weapon (such as solar eruption) won't damage him which just give a little effevtiveness on the target. And i think if you use stardust cell, you can hit the target where the cell is hitting the same target. But if you rather use dragon than cell for pre-moonlord, let the dragon aim for the head (if the eye open) and you go for the hand. Hope this helps

I used this strategy, i was ready, i defeated the last pillar (solar one)... and i forgot to make the solar eruption. I went full regen tanking against Moon Lord without any weapon that could attack through blocks, only with a stardust dragon, the dryad and a lot of buffs. I am now Champion of Terraria. Thanks!!!

One thing I would do to improve this enormously is use a cross necklace accessory instead of the band of regeneration and also add a nurse in the bottom left or right of the arena. You can easily tank the second phase this way.

celestial shell only gives 1.5 regen and extra defence when in werewolf form. standing in the honey bath turns you into a merfolk meaning you wont get the werewolf benefits, standing in a honey pit gives you 1hp/s of regen, which is better then the 0.5 from werewolf but you miss out on some defence as well. ideally you would only dip your toe in honey every 30 seconds or so just to refresh the buff this way you can get werewolf benefits and honey at the same time. you might be able to do this with teleporters and a complicated timer system as using teleporters also does not count as "moving" thus things like the shiny stone should not be effected either also shiny stone is. completely if you are "attacking constantly" you should only be using shiny stone if you have your hands "off the keyboard" or just use any other item in the game that provides some more defence.

Fought him in shroomite + tsunami, lost many times then gave up. Then went tanky beetle + daybreak and won cause I could get hit more than 3 times. Now I'm solar + terrarian and I've killed 27 moon lords with no meowmere in sight. But hey, at least I have 15 rainbow crystal staffs to help me : v)

My first time I used tanky beetle + daybreak + rod of discord + warding fishron wings + warding soaring insignia + warding ninja gear + warding frozen shield + menacing fire gauntlet + menacing ankh shield + menacing terraspark boots. Mobility is very important if you're not gonna face tank him. Daybreak is fantastic since it does constant dps (200 for every spear up to 1600 with 8 of them), so you can focus on defense.

Just a little late on this but you can save scum your items from treasure bags by force closing the game when you get an undesired loot item and reopen the game. Since the game doesn’t save, you will still have the bag.

This worked for me on single player master, except the most important difference is that I used the nurse. I don't know how he did it without her, but if you spam nurse you'll be fine (pricey though). Also switched ninja gear with star veil which was probably huge, (especially since everyone seems to be taking more hits then in the video which means more invincibility frames from star veil)

I did all exact the same, euipment buffs and environment. but i cant survive even if i'm just standing still trying to heal myself with Shiny Stone. Your HP didn't fall below half. Mine can't exist even few seconds being more than half. Just... how? Edit: with Star Veil (replaced Shiny Stone) i did manage to survive, but it still felt like a thin ice.

I can only guess that this was a low luck fault, although I had the right torches and gnome. But with Star Vail immunity is long enough to ignore the beam and most damage. It was interesting to try though. Thanks.

Tried on expert, works and I did not use paladin shield, ninja gear and used star veil and cute fishron instead. Made so many mistakes and flew to the end of the world and wasn't prepared but still killed it on first attempt. Thanks!

apparently they are distance based, so depending on how far away you are from them they will either charge at you or just explode. Don't know why the eyes in his video aren't charging at him.

For anybody wondering, I used this strategy in expert mode and it was extremely close. I didn’t use the celestial shell (I wanted the ninja gear but you could probably get rid of this instead) and I used a couple heart statues and a blast statue with the campfire and heart lantern. There was a point that I was literally on 1hp, so this strategy is not perfect, but I managed to get him down to the core then I used the cosmic car key and the day break and I beat the second half no problem. If you wanna do this on master I am confident you won’t be able to

I recommend you to use Stardust Cell Staff rather than the Stardust Dragon Staff, because the dragon doesn't let you Hit the moonlord because of it covers the hitbox of the eyes and the heart.

The gear is very useful since it provides a chance to dodge attacks, if you have a way to make up for it then yes. His attacks on expert shouldn't be that deadly so maybe an ankh shield for more defence should make the trick

if you're not doing a master playthrough, it doesn't really matter. in Normal mode the death beam only does like 50 dmg

It's enough to get 10% damage reduction, ironskin, regeneration and food buff in my opinion. Maybe archery if you are using bow. You can also use the magician buff, minion buff and the sharpen tool if you want.
