HELP! What is the injury when the base of the front of the big toe. The base of the toe but on the top of the foot. I was wrestling and went in for a takedown and I felt it like strain, barely any bruising and the sesmoids don’t hurt but the top part is sore. Is this still turf toe?

I fell down the stairs and my toe was pushed forward to far that the top is where it hurts. Would I wrap it the same as turf toe?

Thank you for this video! As a black belt, I’ve had episodes of big toe joint pain, and this taping method is helpful. Also worth noting is that my calf muscle and Achilles’ tendon are short on the same leg that has the painful toe: working on this is also helping to correct my gait and take the pressure off my toes overall
