Oh my word! Thank you SO MUCH! I fell down the stairs over a week ago and thought I broke my toe/foot. I had x-rays and they said it's all fine but it has been hurting bad since...I am babying it so much to walk and it still hurts with every step I take and every time I move it or something touches it. I just taped it like this and I IMMEDIATELY felt better! I stood up and put weight on it and it already felt 10x better, as though an extra week of proper healing had happened in the amount of time it took to wrap! I am so happy now that I will be able to walk with much less pain!

Has it healed fully yet? My girlfriend fell down the stairs too and has the same issues. We’re not sure if it’s a fracture but hopefully taping it will help with the healing process

I have capsulitis of the big toe because of hallux limitus. This helps with the pain by keeping it more stable.

I have a broken big toe below two joints and it has been recommended that I buddy wrap the big toe to second toe and use a low sqaure toe bootie. What size and type of tape are you are using?

Good ...but if u have sticking on TCP joint all around then why u have have huge band of sticking on foot proximal to joint...? And why not to use hard plint instead of sticking which has can cause irritation and excuriation of skin ? Thanx

I’ve been getting in my 10k steps/day and with increasing aggravation daily, after 8 days, my Big Toe now has a swollen joint at the base of it. Should I do this before every walk? I know this is a year ago comment but I am glad to help either way. It is just regular athletic tape where you can find on Amazon. I do not know unfortunately what type of the brand it is called but there is all kinds of type. I am a ATEP major so this is how I know :p

I banged my toe stretching on my floor. And I went to urgent care the other day and the dr didn’t even tape me up. I have no fracture thank God, but I have sprained ligament in my big right toe with bruising. (Mine is sore too cuz of bruising, u wouldn’t like my toe touched like that! 😁) So they were going to give me turf toe inserts but were $30 and I weren’t covered by insurance-couldn’t afford that so I couldn’t get those. But I’ve been using KT tape for other things and was like well I’ll look up and use that or sports tape instead. But it’s funny if I couldn’t get the turf toe inserts shouldn’t the dr have taped it? Dumb 🤦🏻‍♀️

@@deanna314 I've been tested 3 times for gout, 3 x-rays, and an mri. Finally got the answer, bipartite sesamoid. I also have extremely high arches on my feet. Having a poor diet increases inflammation in your body and my inflammation is my sesamoid.

My daughter just sent this to me because I took a spill jumping over the puppy. My big toe was crushed during the fall and it hurts like the dickens! There is no need for me to see a doctor because if it is broken, and I highly doubt that, all they’re going to do is wrap it anyway. However!!! If I had gone in, and someone was repeatedly squeezing my toe, and whipping my foot around like this, we would have a problem 😵/😆 I am considering investing in medical tape stocks after having watched this, though. (And girllll, trim those claws!)
