The way you went about teaching here is perfect. When I tattoo I do most of these techniques and even learned a couple new ones. The thing you did so well was speaking and teaching all the techniques and why you do them. I feel as if I wouldn’t be able to articulate all of this as well as you just did. Awesome job, and great teaching skills!! Amazing you’re doing this out of the time of your day for the benefit of others, people will learn a lot from this! Keep it up!

we need more videos like this pony. I've done some really good roses but some were a little rough. you feel terrible and try harder next time. I've done hyper realism in pencil and biro but ink is completely different I've found, like leaning to walk again. I'm going to take your advise tomorrow and see where I can elevate my roses

This is a good reason i have enjoyed it alot.....but then my question is everytime i make a tattoo it doesn't come out as expected. .....the ink doesn't stay well what could be problem.....

Big question comes to mind: I'm just a fan and collector--not a tattoo artist myself--but I wonder if you tattoo artists use fake skin in darker tones? I would be suuuuuuuuuuuper interested in seeing videos like this one that feature examples of different techniques used on dark skin / dark fake-skin.

This a GREAT video! Been tattooing 10 years and am just now realizing how much there is to learn from tutorials… most are just beginner tutorials which I don’t take anything from or just high speed videos w out any explanation but YOU do so great with explanations and demonstrations! Thank you! BTW I always apply stencil stuff to a stencil and buff it in until it’s all purple and then wipe it away w alcohol to take it off if I need to reapply before starting. Not sure once the skin is open. But this works like magic every time I need to remove and replace one. Thanks for everything you do!

Normally, I soak my fake skin in bleach water over night. Or for a few hours. Should come right off. Cold water. Also, before applying my stencil I clean it with Dawn soap. Dry it then apply small amount of stencils stuff. This video was great. Liked to see your approach with roses. Would love to see another 💛💫

Hey Pony, Thank you for breaking down how to tattoo a realism black and gray rose. It really helped me understand what I need to do to improve my realism tattooing. Now for removing the purple stencil from the fake skin, I have had great success in soaking the fake skin sit in straight bleach for a few hours and it erases all of the purple. When putting the stencil i like to dab a bit of a wet cloth befor removing the stencil sheet off the skin. that leaves a darker stencil that will only come off with alcohol. Same with taking off leave a damp cloth towel over the tattoo to remove stencil. I use Vaseline to help take off some of the smearing ink left behind when whipping. Also for beginner don't forget to leave the stencil dry over night!
