I need to try and do this with Lola and Cleo idk how well that’ll go though 😂
@101rabbits5 жыл бұрын
Yes you do!! It’s so fun!!! Mocha wasn’t the best at it honestly. Haha! He understood it but he also just wanted the treats and he wasn’t self aware of his body. Lol. He would just plow right over things to get to the food. 😂 but he was also deaf so he couldn’t hear the clicker which may have been part of the issue. 😂

My baby bunny took to it right away! She's in love with the Timothy based pellets I have for her for some reason, so I didn't even have to worry about excess fruit intake. Maybe my bunny wanted more stimulation? Haha bunnies are so much smarter than people think they are.

Oh I wish I had known this many years ago! I've had many free-living house rabbits in the last 35 years and now have just one (having always kept in pairs). This will be great for Jessica as I spend as much time with her as I can since she lost her husbun. (Billy would have loved it as he was a very interactive Dutch). This is a great video, thank you so much. I am looking forward to getting the clicker fun time going... if she takes to it too which I think she will ;)

this is so cutee. i tried training my bunnies to jump on my lap while i'm sitting on the floor but I think i'll have to train my bunnies separately because one of them turn crazy when treats are involved and constantly jump in the way of the other bunny and snatch treats from my hand when i'm trying to give the other bunny his treat. lol.

More behavioral training! I just adopted a 6 months old rabbit and i’m not sure how to train himself to be less destructive. 😭
@101rabbits5 жыл бұрын
Sadly there isn't much with clicker training that can be done for destruction. Destruction is a form of play, or a form of frustration. Getting him neutered will help a ton with hormonal destruction. That would be the first step. Then making sure he has lots of toys to destroy like plain cardboard boxes, plain brown packaging paper, grass mats, willow toys, etc. He should also have play time every single day for several hours. And be sure his area where he lives is properly big enough. I would start at LEAST with a 4x4 pen, but if he is still showing signs of destruction (bar chewing, trying to escape, etc.) I would expand his pen even larger or potentially have him free roam in a room. Most of destructive behavior is caused from lack of stimulation, mentally, and physically, or too small of an enclosure. Clicker training may help him with extra mental stimulation!

I have a question so I got my rabbit on the second of this month and she's almost 3 never had any vegetables I've been trying to get her to eat some but she just won't any suggestions on how to get her to eat her veggies?
@101rabbits5 жыл бұрын
Try very small amounts at first and only one veggie at a time. What I did with Ebony since she didn't like veggies at first is I would give a small piece of lettuce and let it sit there for 24 hours. If she didn't eat it by the next day, I threw it away and tried again with a fresh piece. If she continued not to try it for several days I would try a new vegetable and do the same method. Keep doing this process with different veggies. My recommendations are green leaf lettuce, parsley, cilantro, and kale. Those tend to be bunnies favorites. Another thing you would want to do is decrease the amount of pellets she is eating. Sometimes rabbits just fill up on pellets, and have no desire to eat the veggies. I would recommend no more than 1/4 cup a day and eventually only 1-2 tablespoons of pellets a day. She should be getting most of her nutrition from grass hay and veggies. Hope this helps.

How did you do with castrations? If Im going to have two bunnies (females) is it easier to have them together? If I castrate them is the chances that they are going to start a fight less effective? (I’m sorry for my bad English)
@101rabbits5 жыл бұрын
Both rabbits need to be spayed/neutered no matter what gender they are as un-fixed rabbits have hormones which cause them to be territorial, aggressive, and cause fighting. After they have been spayed/neutered and you have given them a month to heal, you can begin bonding. There is no guarantee certain genders bond better together, however personally I think male/female bonds are easiest. However I have friends who have bonded Male-male bonds, and female/female bonds
