Day 24 4/12/20 Yesterday I started observing the Cue Crew and writing down what I've seen. It appears that the original head of the Cue Crew gave up some time ago. However, there are others who have taken the torch and continued leading the movement. Yesterday, I was met with a wink from their being of praise. What does it mean? Is he plotting something, planning to grant the peoples' wishes? I don't fully understand, but I can't let it throw me off guard. I don't have much else to say beyond this, but I will keep my eye out for now. Things might just be getting interesting.

I have recently really been interesting in trying out VGC and want to build my own team. Though i really want to avoid using any legendaries (I prefer not to use them) so been looking to learn how to build a team so I can at least have a chance at making something that could do fairly well without a legendary. Thanks for the video! Been breeding a bunch of pokemon to start making a lot of teams atm so this was really helpful to find
@batrongordeg Жыл бұрын
My tip - use what works. Dont use legendaries becouse you look at the top x pokemon, you see legendries and use like 2 or three or them, but look at your team. Look at the 2,3,4 or even 5 pokemon you already have while you teambuild, and think what you need in this incomplete team, and what counters it. If legendaries are fullfiling a role you need, for example you dont have much offense besides your main sweeper, and you are weak to fire and ice type, you can use a legendary like kyogre in this example to solve it. Legendaries are nothing to be shameful of, they have good stats they will be used if its allowed, just dont use 5 or 6 legendary teams without any thought put into what roles do you need or what you are week to.
@philunited81194 жыл бұрын
That video was soo helpful! I was done with Pokemon for the last days after failing miserably with all my teambuilding attempts, but after I saw your video this morning I decided to give it another try. And the team I build (very basic gmax lapras but hey) took me to Ultra Ball tier for the first time playing. (I just started competitive like 1-2 months ago and really haven't played more than 20-30 games a season. So thats a win for me xD). So thanks for this, I would really love to see more of these lessons :-)

I just got into VGC on Showdown and you’re literally the only reason it’s happening. Experimenting with a team that’s half Trick Room and half speedy friends so I can pick which mode I want to play in. I’ve found that people at my level of the ladder often waste their Dynamax on my Eviolite Dusclps hidden behind double screens, which makes for some pretty easy late-game sweeping, and if I were better at the game I could probably take advantage of that.

Felt like giving a better answer to the question about method 1 and stalling: Method 1 (defensive) is about dealing with your opponents initiatives. Method 2 (offensive) is about taking the initiative. Both require knowledge of the meta and how to acquire a victory condition, but neither dictates the use of either offensive or defensive pokes. Also felt like I missed defining victory conditions for your team in this wideo and victory conditions in general. Would've also liked to get some more teambuilding tools out of this wideo like vgcstats, damage calculator, pokemonshowdown and valuable discords. Battling is interesting enough, but i really like the teambuilding part. I'm just a bit easily distracted, my teambuilding starts with a gimmick, or trying to adapt a strategy with different pokemon, then while i'm working on that team i discover 5 other gimmicks and adaptations and start putting them in their own teams and after a while i end up with a dozen unfinished teams.

It’s probably best to compare Pokémon to a card game rather than a fighting game - a lot of the discrepancies between Pokémon and, say, Melee, make WAY more sense when you think of it more like hearthstone or something. In games like these, deckbuilding (or in this case, teambuilding) is almost more important than what happens on the field.
