This video reminded me how much I've taken Pokemon's complexity for granted. I've been playing since Red and Blue and so many of these features have been added gradually with each generation that it never felt overwhelming, but I can't imagine coming into this as a new player now

I started playing in 2013 and everything since mega evolutions is greek to me. As far as my brain can tell all the different kinds of maxes are just slightly different mega evos and mythicals and primals and whatnot are all slightly different legendaries. All the kids coming into pokemon nowadays and keeping all this stuff in their head are so smart and I'm so proud of them

I play the core games as well as Pokemon Go, but something that's always scared me is the competitive play. I just have no idea how to figure out all the moves, types, abilities, etc. This is a huge help and hopefully it will open up the games for me a bit!

Hey can you do a lesson on how to get started in participating in VGC events? For example, how to find tournaments that distribute CP, what CP is, the entry fee, etc I'd really like to participate but have very little idea as to how and what tournaments even give me cp and I'm sure there's many more like me

Your priority slides could be better shown in a table similar to the bulbepedia’s priority table. It makes it easier to see. Status slides, easier to see and how image or status. A newbie can associate it better. If you like help with your slides, I can help you out a lot there to make it more welcoming to new players.

Some constructive criticism: Try to focus on the core aspect of what is taught, and try to avoid exceptions. For beginners, it may be hard to comprehend exceptions, and it would be better to learn the core concept of an idea, such as speed, first. If this truly is an ongoing class, it would be beneficial to teach exceptions later on, or only feed a spoonful of information whilst teaching a new subject.
