Great job! Thanks for making this! I agree, this is the no brainer quick way to always have air without blowing a wad of cash on all that tank/compressor/dive shop drama. Keep it simple I say. Good exercise too like you said. Keep em coming!

Nice video James! Sure a nice air compressor would be great, but you need power to run it. The hand pump works as long as you do. Hard to beat. Great for survival along with a bigger bore rifle.

Good video. 11:43 the valve on my Air Venturi G4 got stuck. The pump would build internal pressure, but it wouldn't flow to the gun. Your video helped me fix it. The build is similar, but not exactly the same.

I just ordered a pcp rifle for the first time…. I can’t afford to spend several hundred more dollars on a way to fill it but I did get 2 hand pumps. One of these and also a 4 uncles one which I don’t have complete confidence in either thanks to the internet. I don’t mind labor and maintenance here and there but I shoot just about every single day multiple times a day and I’m just wondering what I got myself into… I’ve been shooting break barrels since I was a kid but these things are different…. More powerful which I am a fan of but it seems to me more unreliable and can be a lot of work to make something that cost upwards of $500 work properly 🤣 for what I spent you could get a real rifle so I hope everything is in order…. My pumps were cheap though I had to skimp somewhere so I got 2 and watched this. Thank you for taking time to show us this because no offense china 🇨🇳 but whoever writes instructions for those manuals….. doesn’t seem to really understand English you can tell🤣 but the hand pumps seem simple enough 🤷‍♂️

Great video. Some of these pumps have small amount of water in them to help keep the pump cool. I did not know about it at first like you i learned on my way of taking apart. Scared the hell out of me because i had no clue what the liquid was. Only after contacting the supplier through email they said its just water for cooling.

@@randomvideosfilmcollection3161 Clearly you don't know what you're talking about. Wather cooled doesn't mean the litteral liquid we call wather. The liquid you put in there is antifreeze, prestone. Also, having dismanteled this pump a few dozens of times I know for sure that the liquid cannot leak into the pressurised air. It's located in a completely different chamber. Even if the seal would fail and liquid was to leak at the bottom, there's no way it could get into the 3rd stage valve.

How often should you oil the pump? I got my first pcp gamo arrow rifle with a air venturi g9 pump, but the instructions aren't very detailed on pump maintenance and there's hardly any content on how to maintain the pump on the internet.

Every 70 pumps put 💯 silicone oil only on the pump slide. Only pump 25-30 pumps intervals then let cool. It's a very slow process. You can take it apart like in this video first and give it a good lube. And then after pumping your air gun about 10 15 times (fills) inside again

Placed a few days ago an order on one of these chinese pcp hand pumps (might differ a bit though from the one in the video). Been watching thru online videos mostly cuz of interest in internal build etc.. Seems pretty good for the money imo.. Sure. O-rings and stuff can break or give in on them - but I bet that so can also on the 200€ pumps. I just wanted to go sub €50 myself cuz it's gonna be a project pump. I guess many pumps may break on you just because of a moment of poor focusing in the installation process by the assembler in the factory.. Apparently these are manufactured in way large numbers thru time. Luckily, spare parts come along - just in case something like that has happened. Been thinking of quickly disassembling my pump after it has arrived. Just to make sure everything is all okay before it getting into heavy use. Was a good video. Thank you!

So not everyone of these are water cooled?My manual mentioned water cooling and said it was already added but I've had mine apart twice and nothing no water oil nothing. I've tried to get hold of the maker and I've never gotten any response and to send it back will cost me almost as much as I paid. I've had it almost 2 weeks and unfortunately I've had it apart 2 first time one week after and again today. I don't mind the excercises and God knows I can use it. Also the gauge does your take oil and if so what kind again mine mentioned this but I couldn't find what kind and I wanted to charge my gun as it arrived a couple days before the pump so I thought let try and wala it worked. Great video and as always informative as always and bye the way I ordered the kral thanks to your reviews. Keep it up I'll be ordering a couple shirts and yeah what is the largest size you sell

After I opened it I figured out that someone had tried to put it together before so it was halfway put together Yet half of the pipes were used they were still in a bag so I need to completely take it apart and start over from scratch . I might end up buying another one because I don't know if all the pots are actually there or not .

It's not the silicone that catched fire but the propellant inside the can. Meaning that your machine was already making sparks when you sprayed... Hust spray when it's powered off.

The water used as a coolant is tightly sealed inside it's own compartiment. You may need to change it after a while it gets dirthy. These pumps (from my own experience) needs a lot of dismanteling for cleaning purpose. 90% of the malfunctions comes from dirt inside. Oil should be used very sparcely because when it gets inside it creates problems instead of solving some.

You can't be sure. Mine has worked only for 2 or 3 fill-ups and then it began to malfunction. I changed some o-rings with the provides rechange parts and it's working great ever since... Once you know how the pump works on the inside, after that you know what are the only 2 places that needs lubrification. The best advise I can give is put on 50 to 60 strokes and then let it cool down completely before pumping another 50-60 strokes. This thing gets crazy hot very fast, if you pump too much you burn the seals.

I got one of them cheap Chinese pumps and I can pump my Hatsan AT44 up from 1000 to 2000psi with around 120 pumps. If I let it go down to 500psi it usually takes around 150 to 160 pumps. Do you think thats pretty normal? Doesnt seem too bad to me.
@STKO2011
@STKO2011 6 жыл бұрын
Yea it's hard telling, really depends on max pressure and size of the cylinder/bottle your pumping into...for instance my Umarex Gauntlet bottle is 3000psi 13ci/213cc from 0 to 3000psi is almost 250 pumps...from 1150psi its about half that
@Fazman81
@Fazman81 6 жыл бұрын
Shoot To Kill Outdoors You know what I was wrong I meant to say from 100bar to 200bar which is 2900psi. From 0 to 2900psi usually is somewhere around 200 pumps. So that seems pretty good because I have a 180cc reservoir. How many shots do you get from the Gauntlet? I get around 30 from my Hatsan AT44-10 .25cal.

@@Fazman81 Did you know that the Hatsan AT44-10 has a hidden power adjustment screw located near the hammer ? I don't remember reading nothing about it in the owner's manual. Last year I modded mine so the power adjustment may be done without dismanteling the gun each time. Works like a charm. Now I can use my gun from as low as 150 fps (which is great to shoot paper targets in my basement) to a whooping 1100 fps and more (depending on the pellets I put in there of course) just by turning the little shaft that comes out of the back of the gun.

Brandon Motta it shouldn't... moisture will form switching from cold to hot weather or caused by humidity... usually you'll shoot the moisture out

Moisture filters are very easy to find in every air gun dealers website. You can add as many of them as you want in a row. And yes you should have one.

Do you know how to adapt an air filter to keep water, oil, or particles from getting into my gun?

Frank Faz if your pump doesnt come with a filter or hole to install one...best bet would be an inline filter

Shoot To Kill Outdoors Yea it doesn't come with a hole in the base. Where could I go about finding one, Ive looked online without much success. I know it has to be something rated for high pressure. So I cant just use a regular air compressor air filter. Ive been getting small particles in my gun and it started leaking air.

My pump's manual is the worst Chinese to English translation that I've ever seen. It's totally worthless. Thanks for the vid

How many and how long does it take to full your guns sir? I have some heart failure issues is why I ask (no no one but me is liable for my actions lol. I'm not an SJW turd). I know my limits and plan to get the yong heng anyway but I'm poor so I can't even get a gun and pump package, gotta save for piece by piece. (Full year for the 190 I paid for my 32fpe hatsan model 125 vortex in 25cal for example.

I have a brand new umarex pump that after a few pumps it builds pressure then I can’t get it to come all the way up and I can’t push it all the way down. Can anybody help me? I sure hate the hassle of shipping it back if it is an easy fix.
