TIP: I have really wavy, frizzy, almost curly hair and I find that it really helps if you straighten your hair really quickly beforehand. Not fully, but just enough to flatten out the frizz and the curls before you start to tease to prevent really bad knotting if you have that problem. Happy teasing!😊

it’s normal. it’ll also feel rough. you just need to brush it out and repeat a bit. well actually idk if you should listen to me, im not a professional, it just always worked for me.

Start lower on the hair, if you start higher, the ends will knot with the roots instead of the roots creating a cloud around the roots if that makes any sense...

@Charlie Mazza don’t comb through wet hair!! It’s the most fragile when wet, dry brush it out working up in sections with a brush with flexible bristles (like a wet brush has) then wash, moisturize and maybe comb out again

Finally, a helpful video on teasing hair. I've never done it before, and I really want to try it. But I have a question to the backcombing experts in the comments about what tools to use. I have a thin hair texture, exactly why I want to try it to begin with. Any tool recommendations for that I should be aware of? I mean, if I start backcombing my hair, I want to do it right. :)
