From what I have seen, I don't mind it if people playfully make fun of me as long as I can back-- but that is a wrong wording. Playful banter is super fun as long as it doesn't go too far. If you are trying to tease me every single sentence, please don't. I still want to have intelligent conversations, though I love to laugh at someone's impeccable wit and sarcasm. But, don't make it a 24/7 thing. Especially if you are interested in someone. You have to show respect as well.

I get what you are saying, but in today’s day and age guys are terrified that if they say or do the wrong thing that they will get “metoo”ed. And it’s a legitimate concern even in my home church. Im just saying that it’s not ideal for women to lead, but today a lot of us guys are too afraid of the potential consequences of approaching women (and if they aren’t scared they should be), so if women don’t lead I don’t see many relationships in the future.

I'm so grateful y'all posted this!! I have had an immature guy lead me on before. He told me he was serious about pursuing dating to find another Christian to be his wife, but he was really playing games. I began to notice he did not follow God actively outside of groups, and drama seemed to follow him wherever he went. I began to notice he was disrespectful towards friends, family, and made insensitive jokes about very sensitive topics. It was a smack in the face to me because that's not the kind of person I want to be around-- it's toxic. I wonder if the Lord used that to tell me "Avery, stay single for as loonnnggg as you can". Either way, I just don't want to fall in that trap again.

My parents had tough pasts, so dating in my house wasn't allowed until we were out of high school. Because of that, I actually grew up thinking that a girl shouldn't flirt because that just means she's desperate or that it's not lady like. Talking to guys was hard at first, but now that I'm older I think flirting can be beautiful.

6 months is too long. 3 months flirting and then if he doesn't ask you to be his g/f then walk. Don't waste your time. Also if you have to ask what is this, walk. A guy who really likes you, will step up to the plate even if he's shy because he likes you and doesn't want to lose you. 🤷🏽♀️ #js

It can take even more than 6 months.God can talk to you;maybe the person is dealing with personal problems that interfere with a presupposed relationship.There are people who received confirmation from God that x would be their husband but the girl had to wait like one year until she got more confirmations,until he dealt with a specific problem and came to realize how much she was for him.Things must happen in God's time,not ours.And as a person who received confirmation from God you are not supposed to say it,but have trust in God's time and wait to see the blessing at the right time coming from the guy(because,biblically,he's the one to pursue the girl,never otherwise). But if you're not acting according to a christian's perspective then you can say very easily this guy is off,this one is not worth it,it's been too long etc.

I think it depends on context. Some people were raised with the mindset of only having friends of their same gender, but I grew up having mostly friends that are girls (I'm also a dancer for extra context). So, even as a 21 year old, I spend most of my time around girls (maybe 60/40), and they are super aware that I don't have feelings for them.

I do agree with the “making fun” with a girl, only in the perspective of teasing them. I think there’s a difference between teasing and actually making fun of someone. Teasing is really light-hearted and also usually not about something that could really offend them. So for example, some guy teased me because I like running and he doesn’t. He said, “oh you’re one of those?? Lol.” Personally I didn’t mind it bc I like him too 😂 so maybe it will only work on people who like you too

Thankyou so much for this! The points were awesome, and helping me directly with this guy a lot. About this guy at school, he often ignores me - we are in different grades - but when he comes over to my house, he is funny, sarcastic and slowly becoming more open. I laugh at his jokes all the time, and he often grins or chuckles when I say something funny. He has just started acknowledging me at school and glancing + smiling. I'm always the one starting conversations by text, but to be fair he is quite shy and has come out of his shell around me. It's half and half.
@danielscully93564 жыл бұрын
My go-to when I like a woman is to simply engage in conversation and get to know her on a personal and deeper level; I'll cut out the small talk as quick as possible. As a Christian guy, I flirt with playful teasing. I definitely am intentional to keep it nice and caring; I dont go too far. But, I dont keep it too tame and go so far as to make the girl want to have a playful sassy comeback. If I make a quality teasing joke and she lets it fall flat, especially if more than once, I usually take it as no interest. Girls, keep in mind I occasionally do the same with either guys or girls that I simply view as a very close friend and don't have any romantic interest in.
@TD-ht8dz24 күн бұрын
As a guy, I definitely get what you're saying with the sarcasm thing Paul, I'm sarcastic all the time, but at the same time it doesn't always mean a dude is interested in a girl just because he's sarcastic, it depends on how sarcastic he is a lot of times, I'm sarcastic quite frequently but I'm more sarcastic around a girl I'm interested in purely because it's fun teasing her and she always responds well. Also the liking every social media post thing I'd say girls should not put a lot of stock into, some guys will do it, but those guys are usually too scared to do anything more or actually talk to a girl, I for one don't often like her posts, I'll occasionally like a couple if they're actually funny or cool or something, but a lot of girls I know post a ton and a lot of them aren't that cool or funny or anything so while a guy liking every post does probably mean he's interested, him not doing that doesn't mean he's not and also him doing it doesn't mean he's actually worth a girl's time if that's all he will ever do. I'd also say to girls if you're looking for a guy but don't know how to tell him that you're interested without throwing yourself at him, you don't gotta drop all these "hints" that 99 times out of 100 he'll have no clue you even did anything cause a lot of guys suck at understanding girls and their hints that they like them (myself included), but what a lot of guys want is a girl that is bold and straightforward, like don't ask a guy if he wants to come hang out with you and your friends if you're actually just wanting him to hang out with just you, say that, ask him if he wants to hang out with you, don't ask if he wants to go hang out with you and your friends and then on the off chance he says yes your friends magically cancel so it's just you two. That's not to say that guys want girls to make the first move, that's not at all what I'm saying, guys often want to make the first move but they also like a girl who isn't afraid to and will be bold

Paul has it on point, if this guy is showing you a lot of attention, cracking jokes and just making openings to talk, he likes you. If he makes a big goofy smile uncontrollably the minute he sees you, he’s really into you. Guys who aren’t into you in anyway won’t even talk to you. Also another sign is watch his eyes, if his eyes are on you and eyeing your body, thats a good sign.

If so, I've seen a lot of girls who will chase a guy, you just need to be opened and willing to talk, if that is, in fact, but if she is talking like this, be warned, she may just see you as a friend. Flirting is important because it gives both the girl and guy a buffer time to assess how they feel about it without being scared away right from the get go. That way, when things happen they are prepared with their own thoughts on the subject. A friend of mine once told me that "there are some girls that are like birds, you come up to them too quickly and abruptly and they will fly away." That being said, mature girls should have a better grip of who they are and what they want and may be more appreciative of straight forward attantion. In my opinion, flirting is super important. My boyfriend and I clicked and flirted at a church camp, exchanged numbers, texted and became best friends over the course of about 5 months (long distance.) This slowly eased into a best friendship that lead to a relationship. We've been long distance official for 2 years come May 27th and see each other every 2mo or so. You marry your best friend I always say, so look for that! But that doesn't mean you have to intentionally give "friend zone" vibes to accomplish this😅. In our friendship, I felt confident in both of our intentions with the friendship because of my knowledge of our faith goals and his character and because we both flirted😉

I'm honestly binge watching all your guys' videos so I can be super mega prepared when I meet a fine specimen for myself lol. But for real, you guys are awesome and have great tips! Keep up the good work, and God bless! ☺❤

I totally disagree w the 2nd.point. "Wanna hangout ".. for me it's meant I just wanna be in the friend zone... that's been my experience tho

My guy friend shows a lot of these signs which makes me believe that he may be interested, but sometimes he doesn't seem to be interested, he is a great friend, which gets me confused because I can't tell if he actually likes me or if he is just being a friend.😬 So confusing!

i'm a fan of banter! but hey one thing I have noticed with a couple guys who were interested in me, they asked "what I thought of another guy" and if I was interested is said guy (I didn't catch on because I'm oblivious oof)

I completely understand what your saying about the making fun of them thing Paul! It’s like playful teasing. Also, I actually tripped one time well I was talking to a guy I like, (it was so embarrassing 😩😂) but he just smiled at me... and it was really sweet and I was glad he didn’t joke about it! Lol thank you for this vid!

First video I’ve watched of you guys so just getting a read. Don’t know how old u two are, but use why Morgan got so offended by Paul’s comment and spent minutes arguing about it. The whole point would seem to listen and get the mans point of view. Just a thought cause we all want to be listened to and be heard. Also I think any man who knows a gal to some extent and may start sending some messages may be that he wants to test that she won’t wilt if she gets a bit of a joke sent her way, and has the ability to laugh at herself which is a sign of emotional stability, sense of self and maturity. Not to mention, having a sense of humor :) I think u could be 28 years old and still find yourself making fun of the gal u like. It’s Classic teasing. Best thing is to be able to laugh with the one u love. Anyways, cheers guys!

Haha i went out with a guy yesterday and near the end of our hang out he told me, “I’m making fun of you because I like you”. So it is a thing 😅. I actually didn’t mind because it was playful and not rude/aggressive.

Wow, I’m one of the first commenters! Awesome video Paul and Morgan!! Love you guys, wish I could financially support you but sadly I’m a college student and I’m broke 😐I have a guy friend who is really outgoing and sometimes asks me how I’m doing and stuff like that but when we were talking one time he clearly said he sees me a as sister in Christ. The thing is, I had a crush on him all the way through high school and I still think he is really cute but also I have a boyfriend now and am trying to not think of my guy friend in a romantic way but it’s really hard. Any tips?

Well prayer is a good start and why are you in the relationship. Really examine yourself is it to make home jealous and show him what's missing or is there true and honest feelings for your boyfriend

Wait I have a question. What if I just playfully joke around her but don't want to date? Is that flirting too? I just like her reaction and she's cute lol

So.. what if your friends with a guy that you know is interested but you've already told them you're not interested in a romantic relationship but, the guy keeps texting you all the time and liking your posts and generally still giving you vibes that they're trying to pursue you or holding out hope that you could change your mind in the future. Like .. do you just stop responding to texts and engaging with them? This is a fellow believer so I want to be careful and just stopping all communication seems rude to me but I'm totally in that situation. I've pretty clearly expressed that I don't believe he's the one God has for me. I thought we were on the same page but even the "friendship" is starting to feel smothering to me. I am not sure how to handle that in a Godly way at this point. I've been as direct and point blank as I know how to be..Advice?

I went on a hike with my crush and some of his siblings and he stayed by my side the whole time and offered me his hand plenty of times during the hike. He said some things I would consider to be flirty but maybe he was just being funny.... Or maybe I'm down playing it??? He's a total gentleman, a really great guy! His parents have always wanted us to get married and I didn't have feeling for him, until about 4 months ago. So I would always laugh and say "no way" but now, 6 years later, I'm catching feels. How do I show him that I'm interested in him without totally putting myself out there and possibly making things SUPER uncomfy? I'm very comfortable with him and the family and I've always given him some attention so I'm not sure how to flirt without practically screaming "YO! I'M INTERESTED IN YOU!" Help.

Flirting has become more of a chore if anything with this culture. It's either you try and be upfront and obvious then it's too forward and no personality or you do most of the things talked about in this video and then you're not serious enough for a committed relationship...

The thing about the making fun which I think Morgan doesn't like is that it's disrespectful or can hurt someone's feelings or be rude. I thing the nature of this type of flirting however is actually assuming confidence in the other person and by making fun of them you're kinda saying " I see you as confident and mature that you could laugh at this" and that's kind of the compliment hidden there but it could also be a method chosen due to lack of confidence and being scared to be more forward and obviously complementing someone and making yourself vulnerable. So it depends on the spirit I suppose.

I love the jersey Paul!:) Morgan this happened to me, a christian guy spoke to me for 12 months on fb chat indepth and then i plucked up the courage to ask him out for coffee and he said no haha #epicfail! A few christian guys on fb chat/DM/text on instagram will message me a fair bit then when i call them out on it or ask where its going.. they ghost haha! Then i get the guys that say i am beautiful or attractive and Godly... but friend zone me cos maybe im intimidating lol cos im intelligent haha.. and extroverted... but then again I am definately guilty myself of talking to male friends on fb chat and having no intention of dating them and i tend to friend zone guys too lol.. at times :) I think healthy boundaries and discernment is soo important with friendship with the opposite sex especial in church/christian circles!!:)

lol in my circles, talking to a guy on the phone (even if a close friend) is considered 'inappropriate' he guy I like is so friendly and I get along with his parents who are in the music band with me. I'm not sure if he is interested in me, but I know that is loves the Lord so so i'm okay with maintaining the friendships because it makes me feel good regardless of the fact he hasn't shown obivous flirting
