I agree with you so much with eye contact, especially in a world with so much hate for the lgtbq+ community and sometimes outwardly showing your sexuality can cause outside harm. Eye contact is something that has WORKED for me in the past, and there is always that beginning awkward stage, where you show that you notice each other, and recognize the other person's existence. This is, in fact, how I met my first boyfriend! He was sitting on some steps talking with his friends, and there was that instant click, for just a second of eye contact, and then this happening again and again, until we actually started talking and having a long conversation that ended with us talking about our sexuality, our type, and eventually each other! ❤🧡💛💚💙💜

This makes sense, too. Strangers usually keep things to themselves when in public. Most feel awkward when you approach them and so do you. It's ok if they notice you or give a look, but mostly it's just that and they may even pass you by without any reaction. Now, imagine you perceived accidental look as flirting and tried to react. 😂
