Its the worst thing ever. I just woke up from a 2 hour nap and i couldnt control if i wanted to sleep or not. I didnt pull any all nighters recently and i feel really sick after waking up

Late reply, but that's what I'm thinking. Basically for 7 hours, I would need to sleep until 7am at the earliest, which is too much of a rush in the AM let alone getting the opportunity to exercise. I actually envy those who claim that they only need 5 hours of sleep.

Don't you worry, after a few years it will be "how to know your wife and yourself are both working full time jobs to pay all the extra bills that come with a kid you also have to take care of". Beats being a student. So make sure you study something that will earn you good money so you can still afford to enjoy a few hours of your own.

I have to wake up at 5:00 AM everyday to go to school which means that I need to sleep at 9:00 P.M the night before if I dont want to be 3x as likely to catch a cold. BUT THERES NO WAY IM DOING THAT LOL

I feel you. I am getting up at 4:50am to go to work and I arrive home at 19:00pm but can't sleep until 22:30 or even 00:00, depending on the day.

8 hours of sleep plus my school lasts 9 hours that’s 17 hours I’ve already lost in a day so add about 2 hours of having to take care of myself (such as showering, eating, etc) now that’s 19 hours. Add 3 hours of studying / homework damn now it’s 22 hours gone but wait add 1 more hour for chores. You surrendered 23 hours of your day and you have exactly 1 left to spend on focusing on what you want to do. Your hobbies are going abandoned, you resort to taking off an hour of sleep, you stop eating to save time, your grades are suffering because you are trying to do your work faster, your house is disgusting because you are doing less chores and your mom is stressed because no one can help her with the baby. Take more hours out of your sleep to fix that

The irony is that for around the past week, I've had around 3-4 hours sleep/night, yet despite feeling somewhat tired/irritable, I was able to manage quite well with a small cup of coffee while last night I had close to 8 hours of sleep, yet instead of feeling refreshed, I actually feel worse than before!! Even after napping for 2 hours, I still feel very groggy! WTF?!

i'm in a similar situation. Last week i got around 6 hours of sleep for about five nights and felt sleep deprived when the week ended and i've been trying to catch up on sleep for this entire week and everytime i go to bed, i feel weird when i wake up the next morning. A whole almost passed and i still feel sleep deprived

@@julieerin115 respect for responding 4 years later. Anyways, how many hours of sleep are you getting right now. I can speak from personal expierence for when you get less hours for a longer period of time your body needs time to re adjust. If you had 3 hours of sleep for a week for example and then wake yourself with 7 hours you are going to feel a lot more tired because you were in the middle of a sleep cycle. The best cource of action is to go the bed ealier and let yourself wake up naturally. Do that for a couple of days to see how much sleep your body truly needs. Once it gets adjusted to low sleep and then you give it high amounts of rest it is going to be confused and want more. Sorry if this is brief. I am being a hypocrite and typing this at 5:30 in the morning lol I havent slept yet.

Sleep deprivation made me be more emotional, see the details in things I would never find in a normal state. If you listen to the music you like while sleep deprived, you love it even more than before, I can totally confirm that. Same with thinking, you analyzing better the world around you. Anyone have problems with non restoritive sleep? Sleeping 8 hours and waking up more exhausted than when you went to sleep? That's my problem - my mental clarity has declined, my body has reacted adversly reaking down in every way..the list goes on. Would like feedback..thanks.

Working night shift is worse. Literally 5 days a week I can only sleep 4 hrs in the day but 9 hrs on the nights I’m off and an extra few hrs from the afternoon. and I had been eating so much carbs and sugars, I’m moving to 2nd

I know I'm sleep deprived, I have a full time job and 5 classesin college plus a partime on the weekends... I usually sleep 4 to 5 consecutive hours... But i don't have any of those symptoms other than dificulty with concentration and slow responsiveness to events.

I really want to sleep without any worries for tomorrow or the future on weekends like... That you're done with all your assignments. The house has already spring cleaned. Mom will choose to cook for breakfast. Imagine that no one will bother you that you overslept and that no one will bother you in what you do like doing hobbies. Just going on the day without any worries. And at night, as you lay down, immediately shutting your eyes. Had a really good sleep, woke up active, remembered what you dream. And when you think about it how weird your dream is, it's funny. Yeah... (:

I always crave Sugars and carbs. And my skin is terrible I'm 14 freaking hell I don't need to look old yet! Not to mention I managed to catch the Australian flu right after finally getting rid of my fever! And I'm just emotional everyday so...yea...I don't know really...I blame my homework I had seven projects to do in one week. One of those being set on Tuesday and I had to hand it in first lesson Wednesday. Please don't tell me a suffer from sleep deprivation I don't want that on top all my other stresses 😅😭

I went to bed at 3:00am last night, I shouldn't have. I had a headache all day today, fell asleep a few times. I took some Advil and that helped the pain. I'm never going to bed at 3:00am on purpose again.

A few days ago i was watching youtube at 10 PM and i would close my eyes every 2 seconds until i uncontrollably fell asleep and a few days later(today) i woke up at 3AM cuz of a nightmare where me and my friends were chillin and then everything started moving by itself cuz evil ghosts and then i woke up BRUH NIGHTMARES SUCK!!!(unless its ur favorite horror game 'v')

I dont know how long i been sleep but when i was very young around 6 years old or so i couldnt get to sleep my parents told me i been up 2 days straight as a kid one day as a teenager i went 2 days no sleep because it was a weekend lol

I sleep maybe 5-6 hours a night and still never catch a cold, maybe every other year

I'M shafted. I was a nurse that worked nights - 3 hrs sleep if lucky - 3 kids - then broke my back - got diagnosed with a very rare disease 1 in 100, 000, i am 46 yrs old - with a body of a 70 yr old. i get abt 10 - 30 minutes sleep over a 3 day period. Longest with 0 sleep - 3 weeks - my body shut down for 2 days and slept. my body doesn't do that any more. Chronic pain plus so many diseases = short life span. iv'e been lucky to see my children grow up. Don't think i will see my grandchildren. husband left me 8 yrs ago never seen him since !

Who has time to sleep 7 hours? I work until 2 or 3am sometimes and I have to wake up early (if I am lucky I get to sleep til 8). No time.

I like to work out before starting my day (don't want to do it in the evening) so that means getting up around 5 so with 7 hours, that would mean turning out the lights by 10 while packing it in around 9 to brush my teeth etc. That is just not doable since most of the world is still up around 10 at the earliest!

My sleep schedule isn’t possible to change on weekdays. I must wake up at 5 because I have a class to get to. It takes me till like 10:30 to fall asleep no matter what.

I sleep quite a lot during the day then get about six hour's sleep during the night period but I continue to sleep if I don't have to go anywhere otherwise I will sleep when I arrive back home

Ok I have sleep deprivation and I was making pancakes bc I only sleep 4 hours per day and that’s in day time. So basically I was making pancakes and 1) put a boiled egg in and mixed it and2) added salt and lemon instead of sugar and lemon. And also my kitchen table is no where near the door but somehow I walked into it without noticing 😂

I lost a fuck ton of weight during summer vacation, then gained it all back during exams. I don’t know how else to cope with sleep deprivation other than food
