Carmella, you do such a great job communicating in your videos. Not only do you speak of the horse's perspective in your topics, but, you are so clear in your instructions. Thank you. My horse is one that has a tendency to get into my space especially when it comes to new situations, so I know I'll be applying these principles.

THEN I'VE DONE REALLY WELL BECAUSE I'VE GOTTEN THEM TO DO THESE THINGS AT LIBERTY!!!! I DO NOT & WILL NOT BELIEVE IN THE HITTING OR FLICKING THEM IN THE NOSE. I'VE GOTTEN RESPECT BECAUSE IT'S ALSO GIVEN. THE KINDNESS YOU PRACTICE & I ALSO TALK TO THEM ALWAYS. IN MY EQUINE MESSAGE I'M LIKE A MAGNET, I HAVE SOME THINGS ON MY PAGE. BUT YOUR THE KINDEST IN WHAT YOUR TEACHING!!!! THE WAY IT SHOULD BE!! MERRY CHRISTMAS ❣️🎄🐴

This was a good video! Horses absolutely need to respect their handler’s space, if they don’t it is dangerous.

I'm ordering your course. Since I'm guessing you can't up and move to SC to 'fix' my extremely dominant 5 year old gelding for me 😄 I've had him since he was 6 weeks old (I have his mother too) and he proved to be a beast almost from the get-go. It's been challenging, to say the least.

Love your videos, aleays good advices. Like in this case. But as you know we also have to respect their personal space, that's what they learn and know in the herd. So they know and understand what's personal space.👌🎄

The most effective tips of this video is having a camera guy recording them (just kidding) 😄

My problem is that when I come get my horse I get surrounded by younger horses (3 of them) & one cute shetland xD. The issue is they are so cute I ended scratching them , I struggle to set boundaries >.< And I also don't want to scare my horse by pushing away all the 3 horses. As for my horse when i lead him he's a good boy

The question is, do you respect your horses personal space?

I don't know... I never enter crazily in a horse box - I see younger people doing it ! - even if I know this mare well. I always want to see how she is feeling, how she is looking, if she is happy to see me, indifferent, in a bad mood... And if I am welcome in her space. 😁🐴I let her time to decide. In the end, I am always welcome. That 's very important to me. ☺️

I just saw your video from two years ago, “how to play with your horse.” Please do NOT ever pet or scratch a male horse on the chest like you were doing in that video. Their chest is an erogenous zone! It turns them on sexually. People have been attacked by doing that.
