So, this nicely appearing lady in this video is a battery pro. She not only is a professionally trained speaker but is also very smart...and attractive. She certainly has a great delivery, and has the "battery script" nailed down. I recently was having an electrical drain issue with one of my "dreaded side battery terminals" on one of my GM vehicles. I stopped by my mechanic who looks more like Mr. Creosote from Monty Python - you remember he sits down at a fine restaurant, put on his bib, and begins to be a glutton...eating until he explodes - he doesn't look or sound intelligent like this battery pro lady. In fact, I was making an appointment for a Jeep because I trust him to do simple things that I would need a lift to do. Electrical issues, parasitic drains, and alternator/battery diagnostic investigations just are not his thing. He's an Interstate Battery dealer by the way. I told him about my GM SUV, and he said he's had them in his shop, and they've looked for hours trying to find a drain or other diagnosis. I told him that because the "side terminal" was a faulty design with a zinc coated lead battery connector that wore out, frayed, threading would get weakened, a poor grip to attach a multimeter , jumper, or charge to...I told him I simply purchased some 3/8-16 double threaded 1.70 inch brass bolts, and they made the contacts like new again...all for a price under $10. I'm sure he would do what many shops do in Arizona (no state dept. regulating repair shops or dealers), and that is try to see me both a battery and an alternator.

Heat is a battery’s worst enemy. Also check your belt to see if it’s good shape if questionable replace it . A lot auto repair shops can do a charging system test .

The sulfur smell is the alternator overcharging the battery. Alot of cars and light trucks today have where the ecm controls the alternator output. I agree on replacing a battery every 3 to 5 years. Based on the environment it's working in.

They are made by Jonson Controls, right, just like Wal Mart, O'Reilly's, and many others. The Interstate's look better - just like the battery lady.
