Great info as always, is this vessel/ container the 400g size? Been having some issues with my wicks. Used the 28mm wood wick and that works well but would like to double wick some 400g containers.

Sorry 18mm not 28 mm 😜

@@todd8634 yes it’s a 400g candle . I use a 20-22 pro wood wick in these or try a 18 with a 16 booster

@@NelsonInteriorSoapery I have been using a 18mm with booster from one of you patreon videos I think and work well. I have learnt so much from you, thank you for all you do and share for us all to learn and grow. It is really appreciate thank you 😊

@@todd8634 that’s really nice of you to say thank you. I have noticed for my vanilla or caramels I started using the 22 pro wick on its own and that was good to

I test burn mine right to the end just to be sure as the candle burns hotter the lower down the jar it gets due to heat being more trapped in.

Yes I do that to but I thought it’s a bit boring to watch the full video on that. I also make a full one and get my daughters or my sons partner to take home and test to

Gosh Candle testing can be soooo laborious but yup needs to be done for sure. It definitely is a science. So much debate online about the "Candle Curing" time. I tested 2 candles made exactly the same. 1 after a week and other after 6 weeks. Didnt observe any difference tbh. But I know there are so many variables.
@NelsonInteriorSoapery2 жыл бұрын
I agree with you there. I don’t cure for that long. I sell them after 2 weeks curing

@@NelsonInteriorSoapery Interesting. One question I do have for you thou if you can help. I made 1 of those 1.6kg candles Inspired by the one you did a vid on for your home, in exactly the same bowl from Pure candle supplies etc. Love it, still havent lit it yet thou lol, coz so pretty. But I did notice that on mine, on the inner sides, few parts where wax looks like it stuck on inside of glass or possibly where I didnt spend enough time mixing in the fragrance before I poured it. Not sure tbh. And how has yours burned??? I still experimenthing with a pretty label to go around the bowl.

@@jobo8819 oh yes I need to test with larger wicks which I’m going to do soon .

@@NelsonInteriorSoapery Oh ok, so are you saying the "Wicks" recommended originally dont work properly???? All good, just decided to light mine. If I dont do it, I'll never know for sure.

@@jobo8819 yes I think they need to be larger for my fragrance and wax .
