HOW TO TEST CAR HORN ANY CAR
In this video we will show you how to test car horn. If your car horn does not work, it could be bad horn switch, bad car horn fuse, or bad car horn relay, and even wiring problems. By testing your car horn you will know if the problems is in the horn or somewhere else that way you do not have to waste your money on new car horn. This video should work on most cars with simple horn and 12 volt battery system.

Great video. I tried this method with my W124 and it didn't work. I only tested a single unit and not as a pair, would you say that is why I didn't get the output? The horns work fine when it's installed in the car. Eagerly awaiting your advice. Thanks

Hello Auto Repair Guys. I have a '99 Civic whose horn only works sometimes... I hear the relay's clicking noises when I press the buttons on the steering wheel. I bought another horn at a junkyard, thinking it was the horn, but it turned out not to be, as both work hooked up to a battery... What could it be? Help would be appreciated from anyone...

Sounds like the switch in steering wheel. Could also be the Horn relay,or half broken wire if intermittent functioning. Def not the fuse...if it's bad,Horn is dead every time.

@@franklee2683, thanks for your reply. I haven't gotten around to it yet. I've already tried grounding the horn directly to the battery thinking it must have been the rust on the radiator support not allowing for proper ground, but to no avail. I guess I'll have to remove the dashboard lower cover and check things down there in more detail...
