Hi great videos. I have an s17 think it has a bad transformer, I’m in the uk. Could you tell me what the specifications of the transformer are so I can order a new one and try to fix it. Thanks

I don't know the specs on it. The transformer is made by Gallagher in house and there's not an off the shelf one that'll be wound up the same way.

I have one of these . Basically good for a small pen to guard from small predators or can it control livestock in a small acreage, say 10 acres?

It could do both. As long as the fence stays semi clean off grass and brush, it'll do 10 acres and keep cattle and horses in. Calves might be difficult to train at first, and goats and sheep will likely walk right through it because it's not enough joules for them. The S15/S17/S22 type unit was a really popular model that Gallagher made did around 20 years, 1997-2017. They sold a lot of them.
