A few questions for you: * Can limestone dust be used in the CSEB? If so, what is substituted, and what quantity? * Is it better to batch by volume or dry weight? * Is 1.6 mm to 5 mm gravel acceptable to be used in the CSEB? * Can off white cement and white cement be used in place of portland cement? * Can the CSEB be made with the straight products - gravel, sand, clay and cement? * Can hydrated lime be used in place of portland cement? If so, what is the substitution ratio? Reason being that some people have allergic reactions to cement. If you are able to answer these questions for me, please, this would be appreciated.

Welcome What is the proportion of water with the mixture?
@yahia.madieh2 жыл бұрын
You measured twice. The first is the height of the soil in the Jar, while the other distance is the height of is the elevation of the sand after pouring away the water many times. Is the proportion of sand in the mixture the quotient of the ratio of the two measurements?

How much the maximum approx. compressive strength can be get with this ratio you mention. (i.e. 10%) Cement.
@BuildupNepal4 жыл бұрын
Usually we get over 4 MPa. But with the same cement content, we have better results like 8-10 Mpa as well. The cement is just one part of it, it all depends on the mix and how well the compression is made in the machine
@terresahel2354 жыл бұрын
I used silt laterite soil with only 10 percent of cement without additional soil. And I managed to have a brick with 9.7 mpa. And soaked in water for a week . Does it show that adding soil is not necessary in my own case.
@BuildupNepal4 жыл бұрын
Hey Amara, 9.7 MPa is no doubt a very good strength and the mix is the main factor for the strength of the bricks. It has to be pointed out that there are other things like how hard the compression was and how did you mix the mixture (manually or with a PAN mixer) that will determine the strength of the bricks. Off course silt as you mentioned will give additional strength to the bricks.
@terresahel2354 жыл бұрын
@@BuildupNepal manually mixed. No sand just laterite soil with 10 percent cement by weight. And with 5 percent I achieved 4.7mpa.
