I admire and respect Sayed Jawad Qazwini soo much for adressing so called 'taboo topics' and being soo openminded and modern about these type of issues. There is no form of judgement in his lectures whatsoever. He really makes u feel comfortable listening to him. He always emphasizes on the equality of women and wants to protect their rights and get rid of toxic beliefs about womens rights and so called obligations that only favor the men. I am truly grateful for such an openminded scholar that is able to reach so many people worldwide and open their minds and save them from ignorance which is a humans worst enemy like Imam Ali said. A human without intellect is nothing more than animal i guess. Thats what sets us apart from other creatures. We disrespect ourselves and commit to injustice to ourselves by neglecting our intellect and not educating ourselves. Its our own loss and thats very sad. Why would u wanna sabotage ur own life? Our intellect is our true freedom and liberation from oppression and injustice. It protects us from evil and danger and sins. We can use our minds in our favor or let it rule us which ultimately enslaves u. The choice is ours!

my Ex lied about everything at the first stage to impress me and accepted all my conditions later to break every one of them. How would you ever know if someone is being truthful? And would be sincere with his promises and actions. Plus u may have a good son or a good friend but that doesn't mean he would be a good husband, say his parents have full control over him and his marriage and he doesn't fulfil any duties towards his wife.

Careful investigation before marriage will prevent this by asking people who know him about his qualities and prayer fasting all the religious obligations and about anything potentially haram that they do.

The best way is to live with the person before marriage. People are expert at hiding their true nature. You have to experience stress together, see them when they are tired and so on. The pretence comes off.

Well this can't be true always as at times the elders are following religion for namesake & their actions tend to if not destroy you today but make a difficult future for you And you have reached your patience limit as well. Now what would somebody do? Obey the elders when their actions comflict with the religion itself ? Not really & you are given a bad name in the society for not obeying your elders( as they have an advantage of their crystal image in the community for many years)! You definitely disobey them & follow the religion! That doesn't mean how you react to such people is going to affect your future relationship with your wife or husband in any way who would be religious as well...

No it’s not “dating” how else will you both agree to the marriage? There obviously has to be others present but meeting before the Nikon face to face is halal and actually recommended by some ulama
