I just want to say a huge huge thank you for this video because I have been so fed up for months with my wifi provider (suffering slow connection and days of poor to zero signal). My phone has excellent service no matter what and was great as a back up when my wifi failed. I was sure you could connect to the data but didn't know how and your video helped me out! Your video was very clear with your step by step instructions and I have managed to successfully tether my devices! And I can now also cancel my wifi provider and save money! I must disagree with you on one thing- his English was perfect, and the entire process he described was presented clearly. It was very straightforward and simple too. And I am far from a tech person. This was easy peasy man! I don't know what you are referring to

Tethering via USB makes it so you do NOT use you HotSpot data, that should be the ONLY option enabled to at least plug into a laptop not sure about Chromebook. As soon as you enable Wifi Hotspot thats starts piling through your Mobile Hotspot allotment from your carrier. USB tethering is so you use the "unlimited" data from your phones plan, not the Hotspot Data that is often much less.

Tethering only support to work by itself without using your Hotspot right? Well my Hotspot was off and I use Tethering only. It used my all my Hotspot. Why it did that?

@@samuelmorales1734 Hey I had forgotten about this comment, you are correct and I was wrong. I had previously read many articles that supported my point, and now most if not all cell companies count tethering as mobile hotspot. I Apologize for the error.

@@jimmyfal i think in my point of view, thats is a rip-off. Phone companies that do those practices should be held accountable, because they should be very transparent to the public, that tethering is considered as a Hotspot. But never the less, Hotspot should be Hotspot, tethering should be tethering. Do you agree. Thank you for responding back to me.

Sir, can my phone's hotspot alone run my tablet ? Will i get the same performance by using hotspot on my tab i.e matching lectures , pdfs some entertainment or my tab will consume more data through the hotspot than normally a phone consumes? I have a daily data plan of 1.5gb and my tab is wifi only.

Hotspot speed depends on your network speed. It should give the same or very close performance as your phone. Data consumption depends on what you are doing on your tablet.

I just tried with my phone on AT&T plan. When I turned tethering ON, i got a msg that said when tethering WIFI will be disabled. I guess my plan doesnt allow it. I needed to learn primarily for my trip abroad where i can get a data SIM card and wanted to use data on that phone and connect to other devices. I have an unlocked phone for that purpose and will give it a try and i am sure it should work and is simple the way you explained.

Yes. You can also try not using a password to see if it works, but not recommended.

Dude if u are going to give advice to people at least know what u are taking about. This is not tethering, this mobile hotspot. Two very different things, mot unlimited plans come with maybe 5 gb of hotspot. This is not mobile data. Big difference

Then you should have ended the video and found a shorter one! 🤭 Why do you think you can see how many minutes the video is? Then you cam make a choice on weather you're prepared to sit though a 9 minute demonstration. Also you could fast forward any part of the video if you wish. I personally found the video very helpful. I had watched 3 very short videos previously and I still wasn't able to tether my tablet to my phone. This video.. and BINGO! I managed it first time. ❤️
