Todays video was interesting to see how you think about the various stages of painting. I do enjoy watching the outdoor sketching and paint splashing. Thank you.

Thank you for sharing your process and studio with us.This is an older video of yours, which I somehow missed. So happy I came across it! I am presently in a MFA program here in Vermont, USA, and have been so stuck with my paintings as of late. You and your work are inspiring. I hope to be able to afford one of your workshops sometime soon.

Enjoyed this very much. The tour of the studio (ooh, I'd love to have such a space!), the various pieces you're working on, and chatting about your ideas. More of these, please!

Thanks. I appreciate this format! The time lapse videos don’t give me any information that’s useful. You inspire and teach! You have so many rare gifts!

Thank you so much .... such a privilege to be let into an artist's process. I would love to see how the black and white sketches are used as inspiration for acrylic paintings.

Loved it....much the same way I work on my paintings, but I find small canvasses/paintings difficult, so this gave me new ideas. I will have a look at your other videos, thank's for the inspiration.

Lewis hi, really enjoyed this video, and it’s also a great reminder that it’s ok to change our mind with the direction a painting’s going part way through. Thanks

I'm watching this video for the first time today. I've already watched/listened to it twice. One of the things that I really enjoyed and connected with was the way you explored your process by showing and telling. It's so helpful and useful to me to hear your thoughts as you're creating and recreating. In that way the video feels like an expose of the creative process; it also remind me of underpainting, how as artists we are always looking and trying to see what's present and what's waiting to be revealed. Really, really enjoyed this. Thanks!

Fascinating insight into your working process - so often KZbin art videos are just time lapse efforts that lack the insight of the artist. Thank you for sharing

Found your talk today interesting Lewis, especially that having a number of work "on the go" - can be OK. A problem I feel guilty about, is when incomplete/ unfinished work piles up, and the motivation is long forgotten !

Lewis, thanks for the tour of your studio - always wanted to see it. I enjoyed the video and the way you opened up about your approach to the studio paintings - good to understand the link between the field and studio work. I look forward to seeing the continueation of this work. All the best, Richard

Has a old grease garage look about it, probably the walls - excepting being on the 2nd floor. Actually the impression that gets to me is the Road Map, in getting there.

This is exactly what other art channels never talk about. They just show how they make things but never why... I know it’s hard to describe a thought process, but maybe you could go into more details by having us follow you through one of those a-ha moments and see where they lead you.

Thank you Lewis for this video, very helpful. I just came back from Donegal, in the northwest of Ireland, fantastic scenery and so many shapes, colours, textures and I didn't know how to put that together in a way that is not predictable. And thank you for the tour of your studio. One question, do you use Woody pencils in your paintings? If you do, how do you seal Them? As they are watersoluble. Thank you.
