Boi your hair so thin i can see the top of your head from the front and dayum those eyebrows invisible I need glasses like yours to see them eyebrows boiiii where they at. (Roast me back)
@Artofverbalwar5 жыл бұрын
You should definitely get glasses like these, you’ll finally look smart for the first time in your life. At least until you open your mouth and try to roast someone. Nah who am I kidding, even nerdy glasses like these won’t help you. As for the eyebrows, they’re almost as invisible as your wit and personality. Gosh if only I had as many eyebrows and hairs on top of my head as you have pimples, I’d feel so much better about myself. Boo hoo! (Now that we got that out of the way, let’s be friends)

I've read a lot of books and been trying to find this type of knowledge. I don't even watch this show. I've been in so many verbal confrontations. Sometimes I am witty, confident, and firm to come out on top. Then the other times not so much. Verbal confrontations are all about testing like you said. So when I am off it haunts me! These tips will help a lot. Thanks

I was dating a guy he sent me a text asking what I was doing. I replied that I was about to drive somewhere. I wanted to keep the conversation going, so I made a comment about how I hate to drive. His reply. "Yea, so you've said." Obviously he was getting annoyed by me and normally I would reply offensively. Instead I replied with something like "phew! I don't have to waste my time talking about it again, good save" I'm guessing that surprised him because he made the effort to keep the conversation going.

Again, the problem is that we cant think of a witty answer in 1,5 seconds. I tried your example on myself (The one with the '..you look like an 11 year old!'' @3:47) I paused it and i just could not think of anything witty to answer. It took me like, 4 minutes to think of something. Your answer to it (with the diapers) was awesome, but you would have to be a genius to think of that in 1 second!
@Artofverbalwar7 жыл бұрын
@tentimetex Thanks for sharing your thoughts. You're right, it's not easy at first, but a lot of wit is based on techniques that you can learn to get faster with through practice.

Max GG There's a person named Kelly who suggested to try to be for 2 weeks the person you want to be. I even thought to use Harvey for this (who is quite the total opposite of me, and I'm not man to begin with), but then I need to tell people so they won't be offended. Maybe I should try Jessica. If you don't feel like doing it for 2 weeks, I wrote a monoluge based on that characterl. It may help you feel totally different by simply copying it. Maybe if yoy repaet enough times, you'll start to believe you can. Reply here and I'll send you

@Artofverbalwar8 жыл бұрын
@Joanne Smith Thanks for your question. IMO, the best way is to learn (and practice) specific verbal techniques that underlie the basis of wittiness. There are naturals, but even professional comedians for example have to write and rewrite their jokes, so don't feel bad if things aren't just flowing off the tongue all day long. You can learn some specific techniques in my new video on Hank Moody. Check it out: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y3OqlIiMe9uta9U

So, when a potential employer says "you have 2 minutes to impress me, go", what exactly are you supposed to do? Well I know what you are supposed to do, but how are you supposed to do it?
@elgringolisto3 жыл бұрын
Throw him off by standing up for yourself and not playing that game. "I figured we'd talk about my resume, accomplishments, and why I think I would be a great fit. But sure, we can do that too." You now have the license to say whatever you want and impress them. Remember, not being direct, rolling with punches. You now have the mic. Like Art of Verbal War says above.

But I thought this was a top law firm and you would not be making such an amateurish mistake, am I wrong? or should you I go to a firm who is bit more seasoned, experienced and knows when a great lawyer has just walking into their office?
