I teach it differently. Plant your feet and use your legs then your hips then your back then your arm/fist. The key is to put all the weight into your punch. All that foot movement is losing both power and speed and the lack of hip motion is the root of an arm punch

@@Trenchesboxingtv Well sometimes both power and speed come from planting your feet in the start of a combo as well because you don't have to reposition your feet to get back to your stance but it always depends on the situation you know

Than throw another jab and incorporate your shoulder almost like you are jabbing with your shoulder. Not only will you get more power out put, you will have better reach, better offensive/defense in one, in case he throws when you throw your shoulder will be near your chin to protect it, instead of 3-4 inches below the chin like most mediocre boxers.
