How to tie a St Clements Booby for Fly Fishing
In this video we'll be tying an ideal booby pattern for fresh fish on any Stillwater or reservoir. It incorporates some new and innovative material and is best fished as part of a washing line or deep on a DI line.
Hook: Fulling Mill Barbless Short Shank '6
Tail: Coral Marabou
Body: St clements Medium BCS (available from Celtic Blob Company)
Wing: Sunburst Peach/Coral Marabou
Eyes: 3mm White Foam
Thread: Uni 1/0 Burnt Orange/UTC 140 Fl Red

A washed out yellow would work harry, think along the lines of lemon

Hey Chris, thanks for watching! The marabou pictured is old and from Celtic Fly Craft. David Downie or Veniard are worthy alternatives. Look for sunburst beach/Coral colours!

Hey Mike. It will round the eyes better, so purely aesthetic and make the outer part of the form stronger, although it will shrink the foam slightly. 180 fan, for a minute or so. Place them on foil.

They can be deadly but the problem with them up in Scotland is theres not many places let you fish them especially on a sinking line
