Nicely Done Lindsay. CDC looks awesome to match the rest of the fly. You're the first person I see winding hackle the opposite way. Cool. You have gotten a lot faster on the whip finish that's for sure. 😊 Thanx 4 sharing this video🌴🎣🏄♂️Aloha

Reminds me a bit of the Rutland wet! That one was a big hit with the brookies in Quebec! Tied some for a guide there! Can't wait to try these too!

Hi Lindsay. That is a great fly and thanks for your clear instructions. This fly WILL work on my water. The browns are very wary and will only go for naturals. By the way, please advise the glue/applicator you are using and the tweezer. Kind regards, David.

Mr. Simpson, I just got into wet flies this year and I'm having a very good time fishing them as well as tying them, though I do have a question. When it comes to these type of flies, is it normal to have a tail that's from a softer material like the feather barbs you used than stiffer feather barbs normally used when tying dry flies? Great looking fly and I'm enjoying your videos very much.

Hi Terryll, please call me Lindsay,I would say there are no fast and hard rules but to my mind using softer fibres on the tail gives you a couple of benefits. One, movement softer hackle fibres just move more in the water. Two, they are much more robust and less likely to be broken off by fish. I hope that helps pal.
