How to Tie Dye a Blanket/Bed Sheet

What were you doing in the beginning-you were folding it over and over or something?

I just folded it twice to mark exactly where the middle was, so my spiral could be in the center, you could skip that step if you dont want it in the middle. Hope this helped, thanks for watching!

Amy Kuhn I just got my tie dye from Joans fabric store! It comes out pretty bright if you use a good amount but its not the best.

Beth Vincent I soaked it in soda ash! Its suppose to make the colors brighter and last longer. Good luck with your rug!

Thank you for the video! I watched a bunch of videos for tie dying a sheet & your method looked to be the best for me. I did one last night & just put the result in the washing machine & dryer. It turned out amazing! Instead of really wringing out after soaking in soda ash, I threw it in the washing machine just on the spin cycle.

Maggie James I soaked it in soda ash and water for about 15 min., make sure you ring it out real good, so that your sheet is damp not completely soaked
