How to Tie Dye a Rainbow HONEYCOMB PATTERN T Shirt!

Today I am demonstrating how to tie dye a Rainbow Honeycomb pattern on a t-shirt. This is a step by step tutorial where I cover the entire process starting with the pleat folding and securing of the t-shirt using rubber bands. From there I then tie up the shirt using sinew to create the separation lines for the honeycomb design. After that I apply the chosen dye colors (shown in the video) to the t-shirt, and then let the t-shirt sit undisturbed for 24 hours. After the 24 hours is up I give the t-shirt a good rinse to remove all of the excess dye, and jump right into the reveal of our new tie dye Rainbow Honeycomb t-shirt. How much dye do you put on each side? How do you know when you have enough, especially when you do two different color sides like this? Thank you for you lovely work. I enjoy every piece of it I see. Keep up the good work.

Thank you so much Tammy! So I use the finger method in which I press down on the dye and make sure it puddles just a little bit. If not I add a little more but if so then I add a little at a time. I hope this helps😊💙

No I don’t. When you use it it loses its wax coating which is what makes it so useful in Tie Dye. 😊💜

That came out great. I've tried to make a honeycomb many times, but never get it. When I pull it tight, it makes more of a pie wedge shape and it makes a chain link look, but not the tight honeycomb. I wish I could show you pictures and see if you can tell me what I'm doing wrong. I'm making some tapestries tomorrow, so I'll be brushing up on some of your videos. Thanks for what you do
