When I ice dye, I put the ice down first and sprinkle the different colors on top. You get a really cool design and no two are ever the same.

thank you... that is my Chakra Buddha tee... it is a stitched design.... I do not have a video for this exact design, but I do have a couple videos that show the process of stitching if you are interested :-)

If the powder goes in the air what do you do

I would avoid ice dyeing with the powder if it is windy as you do not want the dye powder floating in the air... I wear a P95 mask while I work with it so I do not breath the particles ..... but if it happens, you will need to wipe down all of the surfaces where you might be working with a white tee as this powder can get everywhere.... once again, a good reason to avoid it when it is windy

What Dyeing Colours do you use for this design? I could only recognised the Lemon Yellow on the Top Corner of a Tee 😙

Hey Carl, so I have a question about this method. Once the ice melts, do you put it in plastic like you normally would or just leave it inclined on the rack uncovered? Thanks ☺️

Ice dying gives better than liquid dying, which one gives more bright colors? love your technique.

I used to think Liquid always gave brighter colors.... but I have seen some fantastic ice dye results .... so really it comes down to personal preference and technique ..... I have only done a handful of ice dyes compared to liquid so I feel like I am still learning .... I say play where it makes you happy and try new things
