Other instructors show the finishing Clove hitch on the pipe itself. Can you provide clarity of advantages vs disadvantages?

IMO, I don't like the Clove Hitch - it's easy to tie incorrectly and it's prone to slipping even when tied correctly. The two-half hitches eliminates all those issues. Stay safe!
