I use the German rig with pop-ups. Simply strip a little coating near the hook, and voilà! Easy to make, and very effective. I call it the Canadian rig (I'm from Canada 😂).

Been using Gemini tidy booms 18 months excellent piece of kit you can use them over and over again unlike fluorocarbon line and tidy booms are very very robust Best thing i ever did for my angling great quality.

It’s a nice rig, have made a few myself…..what is annoying sometimes is the ‘wafter’ is as buoyant as a pop up….!! Good vid carpology.

Use a bigger hook or put a baiting needle in the bait and put in some leadcore..

You have to get the hook and bait size right, You can also use tungsten hook beads and tubing/kicker. Easiest way is to just trim the boilie down, carp much preferer unconventional shapes over those dangerous round but o so tasty balls :)

I use swivel weights or trim the boilie can't use any tungsten putty/tubing/beads because the crays fuck the whole lot up in minutes

Deffo not a Ronnie. The spinner swivel is fused onto the boom and doesn't pivot, it just swivels. That's what I'm seeing, it won't pop up. Lewis Read gives a decent brief on this rig.

You mean Ronnie rig, spinner rig is just something Korda came up with to sell their tat under a different name from Ronnie Rig. Another way you could look at it is korda trying to steal someone else's idea and name it their own. I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt though, if you watch earlier korda vids you'll hear them all refer to it as the Ronnie Rig and only when they bought out their own branded stuff did they change the name.
