Oh the joys of rebuilding the sr20 head when I threw a rocker....learned a lot and was a cheap fix. Exactly this process but include another 3 hours finding the rocker arm pieces and the missing shim and guide

People always want to skip the cam fastening sequence, but I find it highly therapeutic, like sculpting. Im a bike mechanic and basic car mechanic (oil changes, radiator hoses, brakes, random small fixes) but ive learned that tightening sequence back in the day from truing bicycle wheels. Extremely hott video, lol.

This is pretty cool. If you guys did more informative videos on the SR20 that would be dope! It's hard to find good videos that explain things well.

Tell me exactly what you want.

Lone Star Drift I was thinking about a couple things like: -how to build the bottom end (pistons, conrons, crank, etc). -how to properly vent the motor -how to build more of the top end (you already have part of that in this video.

Lone Star Drift I'm sure I can think of more ideas later on. Those are just to start.

Tony Tirabassi yes I agree with all this. Its good information for people who "enjoy" building these engines lol

Great stuff!!! Good insight. Not too many engine tech videos for Japanese engines in English. Lots in Japanese, but I don't understand much :P Thanks for posting super cool stuff and promoting cool people 👍

Damn, Arron has his own treasure trove of videos. What other stuff do you have squirrelled away?

Lol, I didn't think this would be very big on the hit list on the channel, but I like stuff like this so I just post it anyways

Now, im stalling bc 264s and all the cam cap points line up but they not not seat properly around the sides. is that because the caps aren't tight yet?

In one of your recent videos you said (If I remember correctly) that you had a bmw e92, do you think that it would be a good drift car with basic mods? the kind of mods that your new 370z has done to it
@LoneStarDrift7 жыл бұрын
The 370z is a hydro hand brake, coil overs, and a angle kit, that is pretty much all besides things to align it. I would say that E92 was kinda boring, but that might have just been mine. It just didn't excite me and mine was pretty shitty, so I got rid of it for something that would light my little heart on fire.
@freedomlifemake25797 жыл бұрын
+Lone Star Drift where I live, 350z’s are pretty rare and expensive, but bmw’s are everywere and since the e46 has subrame problems, the e92 looked like the best option

How do you people remember that stuff?
@lordperezident7 жыл бұрын
If only people realized there's a way better engine then an SR20 that can be built for less and can hold a lot of boost on stock internals. The people in Sweden and Norway have been using this engine and eventually in 5 years it will be a standard in drifting. Bye bye garbage SR :) you won't be missed

Blanco Escondido Are you talking about the saab aero engine??
@lordperezident7 жыл бұрын
PhantomFlame no sir! I'll give you a hint, it's a Mercedes engine made before year 2000
@phantomflame06587 жыл бұрын
Well then would that be the 6 cylinder diesel? OM series i think its what its called?
@lordperezident7 жыл бұрын
PhantomFlame OM606 is one of the best diesel engines mercedes has ever built and I have one in my car with over half a million miles on it! But it's not the engine I was talking about. I'll just tell you. Look up M104 pumpish on KZbin and you will see the potential! The dude lives in Sweden and his company is called turbobandit. Look into it and let me know what you think. The M104 motor can take a ton of power on stock internals. It's actually comparable and very similar to the 2jz except way cheaper. Don't tell anyone though :)
