Lovely little cocker. Your videos are always so clear, helpful and honest about the reality of training these little livewires. You also do a great impression of a cocker in human form! 😂

Hello, those videos are extremely good explained. I own a small energetic Maltipoo. Your coaching works after I tried several of your teachings. And not at least. The landscape is breathtaking. A good job of your cameraman. Thanks for taking me to this place.

Lovely little dog. The great thing abut this series is that it should give people hope that even when things have gone or are going awry there is help and hope out there to get owner and dog back on the straight and narrow!

These videos are so helpful. Her hunting around your feet was very impressive. I find your training videos where the dog is less ‘compliant’ so informative and more useful to me. So many ‘gundog’ training videos on KZbin are limited to dogs behaving perfectly, your videos are far more valuable. I just wish that I lived nearer so you could give me some tips regarding my 4yr old ESS who, in the training scenario, is very good but when beating on a real shoot (with the noise, other dogs, birds, flags etc) can easily become hyper-excited and in danger of losing it. I find it very difficult to emulate that ‘shoot environment’ in the training ground.

I will probably never own anty other dog than a working cocker. Their just SUCH versatile and willing dogs. I never really leashed trained my puppy. He's never been good on the lead. but recently i've used random little "Listen" sessions where he may do a small recal to heel, or sit, or lie down and wait on him randomly with treats and his heel work and focus on me has improved massively. just keeping them interested is key in my experience.

Thank you for the informative video. How many pips do you blow on the whistle for the various commands (for a cocker)? A short video on the subject would be ideal.

Cracking video all makes a lot of sense just when you think you’re almost there you’re back a Stage training is very much an ongoing practice like someone said you get out what you put in !! Well done, have you or are you going to do a video on introducing a dog to cold game ?

How do you stop a dog off lead from chasing game? My WCS is 13 months and has on three or four occasions flushed a pheasant. Her brain has fried and she’s gone. I continually work on recall which in normal circumstances is good but when she gets a scent she’s deaf and I’m invisible 😢
