I absolutely loved this video. I did adopt baby love birds in august. I don’t keep them in the cage, only at night when it’s time to sleep. I wish I had the space and a certain way of living to do this! I loved this video so much! I adopted my birds because I know MANY parrots here in NY are not well taken care of it’s so sad even the petshops poorly take care of them 😢So even though birds aren’t meant to be in cages it’s best they do go to good homes because of society domesticating these animals! Anyway thanks for this video!

I just watched this. I had a baby lovebird that fell out of her nest and momma bird did not want to do anything with her then. I hand fed her into a healthy beautiful bird. I started commands but being my first I am sure I didn't do everything accurately however Olive got outside and I was sure she would not come back. I put Mango (dad to her) in a small cage and sat it on the ground. Mango called out and she replied back. She would stay within distance of the cage in the trees. As it was getting sto start dusk, I feared she would not come back. I gave one last try. I put Mango with me on our deck and I sat in a chair. She come out of the upper tree and was on a very low branch, When I walked over to her I told her to Come bird. She came and she got all kinds of love and hugs. So did Mango! She got out on me one other time (my fault) she was on my shoulder and I forgot and she flew. Again in evening she came back to me. I am not sure she really has gotten the concept and now I watch myself very closely if I am near a door. Now I have 4 babies. They are all doing great. I am handfeeding since week 3. Some are starting their 4th week and 2 others the 5th week. I will probably only be able to teach 2 of them free fly. Its a lot of work to feed and give each time for love and hugs. I am really into the free fly though and have a park to take them to. I hope to learn more as I start their training. 2 days ago I had them all at the beach they loved the white sand! Wow I'm shocked! I didn't think Free flight was this easy! Thanks for this video! But I must say, you really should mind if it flies away. Because it is not a wild bird, it has no idea how to live out there and how to find food etc. He would die. But If you keep him in at night and don't lose him, everything will be fine. I love this video! Great job with training! And I'm definitely subscribing! ☺️

Sir Sana po na document din po yung Pano I timpla ng tama yun formula at pano yung proper way of hand feeding. Tsaka sa recall po Sana sinama nyo dinpo yung descending ascending and blind recall para may mas maayos na guide yung mga baguhan sa free flight field. (much better po na Walang hangin yung syringe) no hate po. :))

Domestic african love birds will not survive in the wild. They will either die of starvation, be eaten by a predator, or be captured by another person. Wag mo syang paalpasin. He's already happy with you. Thank you for the video.

Hello! I am amazed with your video on how you train your bird to do free flight. My uncle has just given me a lovebird to take care of and it is two weeks old. I would want to have the same bond that you have with your bird. Giving it freedom and having it to come back to you is just an amazing feeling i would assume. I would like to ask about where you keep your love bird. Is it outdoors or indoors? And do you keep it in a cage only when you go to sleep? does anyone know if you can train a bonded pair of adult lovebirds to return to you? i know that birds (especially lovebirds) pay less attention to you when they have a mate. i plan on getting two female lovebirds and i hope they will work out as a pair. i know how to free flight train parrots but will it work with lovebirds that were not hand raised by me or not even hand raised at all? i want to get two birds from different breeders as i want them to be just like a normal couple but without the fertilized eggs. i really want to have birds that can fly outside without harnesses but i have never seen two parrots or parrots with a mate be trained...

Your video is great. My lovebird is 8 weeks and still not flying. Eats well sleeps well and it is energic but only hopes, if tries hop a bit much just falls down. Do you have any idea?

Not normal pare. When I started training Coco (Day 1 of training) as you can see in the video, she was 11 days old.

Hello po.. First time ko pong mag handle ng ibon.. Di ko po alam kung anong klaseng ibon pero nag search po ako parang sunbird po.. Ang nangyari po kasi nahuli po siya ng pusa namin.. Sa bandang leeg niya po yung parang may sugat meron din pong dugo pero parang nag stop naman po.. Paano ko po matutulungan ang ibon para gumaling siya??
