With a history of eating disorders and excessive cardio I’ve come really far and have almost eliminated cardio, am now deadlifting, benching and squatting heavy with progressive overload and am encouraged to make better food decisions based on fueling my body for health vs running away from calories. I’m studying for my NASM to become a trainer and help people understand their bodies better. I can’t believe how great i feel when the scale goes up meaning I’m gaining muscle and eating 2400 calories roughly making sure my protein is top priority when i used to be afraid of consuming more than 1200. Thanks to Mind Pump I had the tools and insights I needed to make the changes that intrigued me but I had always lacked education. Watching you guys has given me so much confidence to approach the gym and explore and have fun and feel like a new person training for longevity. Thank you for all you guys bring to the table. It’s inspiring on every level!

I deactivated all my social media a little over 2 years ago for personal reasons, it was the best decision I could’ve made. Im completely off the grid, my only source of “social media” is KZbin.
@radioclash842 жыл бұрын
I did that few years ago as well. Felt I have accomplished more in the time. But another big time waster is KZbin. If you aren't careful that time saved away from social media can be easily wasted here.

Did the same thing myself a few years ago. I have noticed though that if I’m not careful KZbin can really suck me in too. It’s so easy for them to bring you back

Same here. Actually I’ve been off Facebook for over 10yrs, Instagram for 4yrs and Twitter (which is the most toxic and hardest to give up) for 2yrs now. KZbin is all I’m on and it’s mostly for fitness videos, music and how to keep a good lawn LOl

@@Ivan.80p I feel a sense of pride when someone asks me for my social media and I say, “I don’t have any social media.” They always look at me like I’m crazy. Everyone now a days is online so it’s rare to find someone who’s not. Hahaha lawn care videos! That’s gold 😂

Traveling nurse here- I'm just finishing up a contract and stayed with my brother and his wife for the duration of my contract. I am leaving him a mind pump fan. I started him on the program for beginners and worked out with him for the first 3 weeks. When we started he couldn't squat more than a few inches. Now he can get parallel and his back pain has improved. Just wanted to say thank you. As far as an unusual schedule- this contract was varying shifts 😳 consistency was difficult to say the least

Tracking macros is such a tedious thing to be doing daily for most of us. For someone like myself who works full time and goes to school full time, it’s almost impossible to be 100% consistent. The Intuitive Nutrition Guide could definitely be game changer for someone like me.

I worked nights for years while serving in the military and it's so tough to listen to your body when it's essentially being hijacked by a poor sleep schedule and I understand the fitness struggle. What worked for me was making sure my nutrients and food was on point by meal prepping, always having healthy and planned snacks, and focusing on hydration. Otherwise it's soooooo easy to just eat whatever when you're working weird hours.

I have been listening to you for over a year. Y'all have said so many things that have made me change direction in my journey. Recently I have been stuck at 230 after losing 15. I was only eating two meals and they were low carb. If I counted right it was only 1500cals some days less. I'm not a short woman (5ft 8.5in) with good muscle before working out. But killed my metabolism years ago with Intermittent fast /OMAD everyday. And because of MindPump I decided to do a lean bulk to get my calories back up (on week 2). And I am seeing better gains in my butt and legs then I did before. And with a flatter stomach! But still at the same weight! I can't thank you guys enough!

staying off of social media has not only improved my mental health, but it has also helped me focus more on myself and my fitness and health choices, so it’s been a win so far for me. Although I know it can be beneficial for some (promoting businesses, etc.), I do think it can become a very toxic environment depending how it’s used and the content one follows. Also, staying off of it has given me more time to listen to the best podcast (Mind Pump of course)! I can relate to the difficulty of scheduling workouts around a difficult work schedule. Being a student and working full time, knowing where to best fit in workouts is hard, but worth it in the long run… as long as you get enough rest! Something that I never gave much thought to until Mind Pump kept mentioning the importance of rest and made me realize how much of a difference it actually makes!

I'm halfway through Phase I of Anabolic after a successful reverse diet last winter and my appetite has gone through the roof! It's my first real program so I'm not sure how to deal with it - I thought that I had the right calories and macros but I've been hungry non stop since the middle of pre-phase. Hell, I even woke up hungry last night! I've been on top of my tracking for about a year now, and I feel it's time I learn to eat in a more relaxed and pragmatic way. The guide would be a fantastic asset for me. Thanks for everything that you do!

Tracking macros at the beginning of my fatloss journey was super important (lost over 65kgs), but I've started seeing a eating disorder professional to help me with intuitive eating, and not eating my emotions. And getting my head around gaining weight (muscle mass) back now im able to workout again (had a spinal injury, which required a fusion) I'm only allowed to do a body measurements once a month to check fat % and muscle mass. Which has all been going well, but still a head f#@k for someone who has been in a fatloss mode in all my adult life.

Cover elbow pain please! If you can just talk about it, it comes and goes for like all the time and it only comes when I go slightly heavy. Example, i bench 135lbs for 15- 20 times for 4 sets and its fine. I shoulder press 95lbs for 4 sets and it's fine. But if I bench 225+ for 6-12 times the next day my elbow is jacked. Shoulder press 135lbs+ for 6-12 times next day my elbow fucking hurtttts. HELP Mind Pump. Please!

In regards to training more than one person at a time, I know when I was powerlifting, my trainer owned his own little shop. He’d have a range from 1-4 people in at a time per slot. I think where it benefitted the most was with more adept lifters. So like me I was able to learn and grow very quickly, but with people who need more hands on they did receive a little less because of the style. I would say it’s beneficial for when you have knowledgeable clients that really want the programming and a little extra help, but clients that need the attention should be by themselves.

When I was still in the Army we had a First Sergeant that bragged about his leg press. He did that instead of squat because he didn't feel safe doing squat. Which is fine, but he bragged about it alot. One day he was doing it and I just go: "You know what? I'm going to say it. Top, no one cares about leg press. It's about putting heavy weight on the bar, putting the bar on your back, and squatting down ass to grass."
