It's good advice. If someone asks what you can bench, you can reply 250 pounds 10 times. Way better than finding out what your limits are at time when you've exceeded them.

Was about to comment that, how on earth does he train like that and has the success he does? Never got injured, always progressing even after the 50s and still whooping the floor with top athletes heavier than him.

He detached both his bicep tendons. He's gotten injured plenty, he just keeps going and always focuses on increasing the weight.​@@Pepe-pq3om

@Pepe-pq3om His go to move is side pressure that's how he beat RVJ his go to move is just the whole point of arm wrestling connective tissue through hand fingers and wrist and just go to the side until they hit the pad

Im agree. Side pressure conjugate is only working for todd. Its juste impossible for most people

Ill ise an analogy to back up Travis, a basketballer does get stronger or jump higher in practice, he gets match ready and practices his skills and techniqies. The gym is where the strength and vertical leap comes from.

A very good question : Who has a bigger chance of injury from max effort A.) A guy who does it regularly B.) A guy who doesn't The answer is obvious

MAX EFFORT DAY DOESNT MEAN YOU PUSH YOUR PR!!! You are expected to be beaten up and worn down from training. Max effort day means just that… you put in that much effort into the training NOT chase down your biggest PR ever. That’s the biggest fuck up I see with people trying the conjugate method

True if I have a hard armwrestling practice on Sunday I don't expect to set a PR on Monday, I just lift what I can.

Not true. In traditional conjugate the aim is to set a PR onax effort day on an exercise in your rotation. Now that isn't to say you can't change the definition to have a max effort day where you just go "really hard"

It does mean you push a pr. You should be hitting prs regularly. It can be a rep pr, a volume pr, a pr based on shorter rest intervals etc etc. if you’re 3/5 rep max isn’t increasing I don’t know what the hell you are doing. Travis’s advice is worse than Devon’s 😂😂😂
