Great video, informative as always, looking forward to the next one. Thanks Bryce. Dillon, have you considered making behind-the-scenes content, tutorials, or even paid courses? I’m really interested in videography and editing, and your work is undeniably impressive. I’d be very keen to see something like that.

How does protein consumption work if one is significantly obese (~160kg) and looking to lose weight whilst powerlifting? 280-260g protein (using 0.8) seems kinda excessive and hard to achieve so I've been using 200 based on the alternative targets I heard about of "Your height in CM in grams of protein" (186), "estimate your body fat, work out your lean body mass, and do 0.8-1g/lb based on that" (140-180) and "Take your goal bodyweight and use 0.8-1g/lb based on that" (176-220) Also thanks for CBB 16 week program. took my total from 460 to 530 in my first time using it (having already done gczlp and candito). Will the Path of Powerlifting code on the app be valid ~January? I'm finishing my second run of CBB 16 week and testing maxes just before Christmas, then taking a 10-12 days off as a deload for xmas+my holiday.
@jamesbedwell8793
@jamesbedwell8793 Ай бұрын
Yeah if you're significantly obese (we're talking 40% body fat or higher) then you don't need that much protein. 200g seems about right for you, I think the best recommendation is to use goal bodyweight if you're actively cutting or otherwise roughly estimate lean body mass, and round up.
@oliviertijhuis7249
@oliviertijhuis7249 Ай бұрын
Eric Helms had rule of thumb for this, to use your height in cm to calculate your protein intake. (Since it is difficult to know your lean body mass.) For example, if you are 180cm tall, then start off with around 180 grams of protein a day. See how you feel with that and adjust accordingly.
@calgarybarbell
@calgarybarbell Ай бұрын
What you're doing with your protein sounds pretty spot on. The code will still be available!
