In my humble opinion: some people compare it to the Lion King because the HTTYD teaser trailer gave us shot-for-shot, so we kinda think that it will be the same thing with the Lion King. But the Lion King wasnt really live-action just photo realistic cause it wasnt real animals. The difference with HTTYD trailer is that the teaser trailer shows us WHY live-action exist! The bond between toothless and hiccup makes me think: hey i want a toothless as my buddy as well, like as if he's a REAL creature. They really brings the characters to LIFE ❤ so i dont think its apple to apple with the Lion King 😊
