How to Train Your Shih Tzu to Stop Biting?

My 6 month old is very territorial and bites for any reason, whenever he’s hungry, pissed or wants to play he communicates through biting. I’ve been training him for three months for this behavior to cease or stop but I feel like nothing works. It’s getting better at potty training but accidents still happen. He’s good at socializing but wants to push me during walks and I feel like these dogs just want to do whatever they want, they hardly obey commands and everything takes extra 200 percent work. They would also need daily grooming and teeth brushing (recommended). He’s my baby and I love him but I would advise that if you’re planning on getting one to hire a professional trainer or be prepared for a lot of work, so if you don’t spend a lot of time at home it might be very hard on you.

Yeah that's me wife and I. She wanted him because he was "cute". A friend GAVE us for "FREE" a precious ST. He is a 2 year old rescue from the streets. My Gosh he is a stubborn handle full but we love him anyway and will to give him time to fully trust us.

Keep working him. I have a 4 mo Male ST pup, he knows inside, outside, down, sit, watch me, learning place and potty training going great. If you have too much trouble go to training classes. They can help.

Since you can't go out easily, consider the following steps: Hire a professional dog trainer who can come to your home to work on your dog's behavior. Use a baby gate or put your dog in another room when people come over, to keep everyone safe. Talk to your vet about possible anxiety or aggression issues; medication might be an option.

My shihtzu is 3 years old. He bites everyone who touches him including me and my husband. He doesnt let us to comb him or wipe or give bath. Please suggest what to do

It takes a lot of patience to handle such situations. If he bites out of fear or anger, you have to wait for him to calm down by petting him. And comb little by little. It's a tardy process. You may also want to keep him engaged with milk bones.

My shih tzu is two months old and bites hard. Ignoring, or showing them that it hurts, reacting in pain or redirecting them to toys don't work. Since it's a daily thing, I am sure there are better ways to train them than the ones mentioned here. The video lacks practical methods to train and make a puppy understand that biting needs to be corrected or redirected.
