Been on it for a few months. Sadly it hasn't been working for me, but hopefully others have more luck. I just can't seem to find anyone who is both within my comfort zone for travel (I really don't feel like going to the opposite side of the globe) and isn't young enough to be my daughter (how did an 18-year-old get past my age filter in the first place?). :(

Hi Mathilda 😃 This was a really amazing video althoug I've thru allmost all the stages exept HRT. But I smiled when you talked about pronouns and names. It's a weird feeling that everone is calling me Lily right now. To some of my coworkers I'm just Lily. Some of the people at work says I'm so very feminine, some even say I speak feminine without any lessons. Or as one of my friends said: You don't have to learn as a woman you're already doing it. With this said I just want to thank you for all the amazing videos you have posted.

You're certainly right that everyone is different. I thought I was just a cross dresser who wished he were female. On March 15th, 2012, I was at a very welcoming salon as Shirley and I was so very happy and so very comfortable in the feminine role that suddenly I just couldn't stand the idea of going back to living as a very miserable man again. I didn't. So I call it the 6 second transition. I hit the family wall like a crash car followed by a 4 month battle but lived full time very happy as Shirley from that point on. Didn't start on hormones until mid 2014. Didn't have any surgeries until 2018. When people ask me how I'm doing I most often say, "Absolutely trantastic!". Ah, the pursuit of happiness. Go for it. ; )

Definitely make sure that your hair is very close to the same length all around your head, I was buzzing the sides and back of my head down to a 2 with the top a little long so I could slick it back straight down the top-middle of my head. I tried growing my hair out for about a full year, about November 2022 until a couple weeks ago, and because of how my hair was cut…. It grew really terribly lol. The top of my head grew super long whereas the sides and back just stayed super short, so a couple weeks ago I made the choice to cut it all down and restart.
@johnnyrocket1685 Жыл бұрын
If you do not already, I’d suggest incorporating Hair-healthy foods like Salmon, Sweet Potatoes, Spinach, lean Turkey and Chicken, Greek Yogurt, Eggs, Oysters, Iron-Fortified cereals, Cinnamon and Guava. . Breakfast could be Greek Yogurt with Guava, Banana and Strawberries with some kind of iron-fortified cereal mixed in or on the side. Or just eat cereal with the fruit mixed in and a little yogurt on the side. Lunch could be a Spinach salad with Flaxseed, cucumber, tomato, Edamame (green soybeans), and some chicken. Dinner could be lemon-herb Salmon with Sweet Potatoes and carrots.

It feels so weird to be called by my new name. So I told my parents they could call me by either name. But I guess they didn't want to have to choose which name to call me by, so now they don't call me by name at all. They just say, "Hey, kiddo..." I guess I just need to ask people to call me by my new name, instead of being wishy-washy about it.

You won't believe how difficult all this can be, given one's past. Or maybe everyone could. If there's one thing being online has taught me, its that there is someone out there who has similar experiences to me... no longer thinking am I the only person in the world who does a certain thing or feels a certain way. My experiences have taught me to be very careful with my secrets.. that people can troll Facebook and give one the third degree about, eg pronouns etc. I have a safe community around me, as I did 8 years ago before I used the word trans and had the world of judgment close in around me. I suppressed and denied it for years to stay safe. People are scared of what they don't know, and the reaction is hostility and judgment. Also, like you say, everyone's experience is different, and medical circumstances can impose limitations already. So how to bé authentic, while portraying an image to the world that will keep one safe, is the challenge... how to be careful with your secrets, but still be you

As far as I'm concerned you're trans then. Just not trans-binary. Maybe it's different in English, but in German we use trans* ad an umbrella term for every identity that is not cisgender. It helped me loosen up a lot, because then I knew and could say I was trans, but didn't have to know what exactly I am (I don't really know either so far, but I understand myself A LOT better, since I can see everything more clearly).

Of every thing I can do to transition the #1 I'm keeping the same will be my gender marker, because if I'm ever unconscious in a foreign country or anything like that and don't have anybody that can ID me, I would like them to atleast know I will have male symptoms and could react differently to certain things

@UncleShanks2008 Жыл бұрын
I understand what you're going through. I'm really confused on my gender at the minute so I haven't opened up to my family yet, but the best thing I can tell you is this. If a parent stops loving you over something like being trans, they aren't parents worth having I know it's hard, but you have to remember that parents are supposed to love their children unconditionally. Maybe try testing the waters? See what their opinions on transgenderism is, maybe even pose a hypothetical and ask what they'd think if you were trans, without actually outing yourself as trans. It's hard to do because to do it without raising suspicion, you have to wait for an appropriate moment to bring it up. Another suggestion from a friend of mine is to maybe come out to people you trust and have them there when you do it? Have you told any friends? Maybe have them over when you tell them. Anyway, I hope everything goes well for you, and just remember, no matter what, you aren't alone in this

@jenX-12 жыл бұрын
The best advice I have is to mention a trans person you like, to the person you’re planning to come out to, just as a way to make sure they’re not transphobic. You can mention a KZbinr like NoahFinnce, or a singer, or celebrity. Then a couple days later, you just tell them casually over lunch or something. It’s scary, but there’s nothing you can do about the fear. They’ll probably be a bit surprised, but if you don’t want to answer some of their questions, you don’t have to. You’ve got this! And if they react negatively, (which I hope they won’t) just live however you want anyways. Also, makeup can be helpful whether you’re MTF, FTM, or non-binary. You can start wearing makeup and buying different clothes before even coming out so that people are less surprised. You don’t need HRT to do anything. I wish you the best of luck!
