Your narration and the way you captured the essence of the city make it a pleasure to watch. If you don't mind, may I know in which month you travelled to Almaty? Is it possible to see snow anywhere in Kazakhstan in August?
@AFestivalCalledLifeАй бұрын
Thank you so much 😊 So we visited in the month of May. August is generally still summer season and I don’t think you will find snow anywhere. Maybe the top of the peaks may have some snow but really difficult. August is still a very nice time to visit Kazakhstan as you’ll have nice pleasant days and cool evenings.

@AFestivalCalledLife2 ай бұрын
Hey , so make sure you’re staying in and around these places:- Zhibek zholy Arbat street Panfilov park These areas are all walking distance from each other and it’s pretty much where you’ll want to be in Almaty cos most things to do are around here.. Also do stay tuned we have many more episodes of Almaty coming up and it’ll surely help you plan better😊😊 We’re also going to show our Airbnb apartment in the city so you can check that out too… Hope that helps 😊

8:23 do you recommend staying in an Airbnb or a hotel while visiting Almaty?
@AFestivalCalledLife2 күн бұрын
Hey , i would recommend staying in an Airbnb for sure specially in Almaty… There are some really nice airbnbs located in the heart of the city and the prices are very good too. So unless you can stay at the ritz Carlton Almaty , definitely check out the Airbnb options
@jamie_helt2 күн бұрын
@@AFestivalCalledLife Is there a curtain part or district you would recommend staying in?
@AFestivalCalledLife2 күн бұрын
@ yes , try staying as close as you can to Panfilov park , Arbat street and Zhibek zholy street. These are all in the same area and around 10-15 mins walking from each other and this is pretty much everything you want to see in Almaty and is the main city centre of Almaty.. I’ll send you a link to our Airbnb have a look :- www.airbnb.com/slink/L0L9PHkT

Kok Tobe means green hills
@AFestivalCalledLife2 ай бұрын
So a lot of sources do call it the green hills but Kok-Tobe in literal Kazakh translation means Blue Hill. Honestly I think green hills makes more sense but now that I’m checking on google , it’s still very debatable

True, even kok bazaar in Russian is translated as green bazaar. I hope the Soviets were not colour blind😅@@AFestivalCalledLife

strange musical accompaniment. Russian folklore melody that has nothing to do with Kazakhstan. It would be the same as if a video of a trip to India were accompanied by Chinese melodies
