Bit of correction. The Széchenyi bath IS in an easy place to access. The Metro 1, our oldest, and nicest metro line goes from the very center of the city and terminates right at the steps of the bath. So it would be silly to take a taxi or Bolt. There are also bus lines. In fact, I think taking a taxi might be slower due to traffic. And definitely much more expensive. The 24h ticket you can buy at any BKK terminal is 5$ and you can use every single public transport within the city with it.

if you really knew Budapest you wouldn't recommend taking a cab. there's a top-notch public transport system that will take you wherever you want - cheaper and in many cases faster then a cab especially if you go to Szechenyi furdo where there is a metro station right outside the entrance
@jacklawsontravel
@jacklawsontravel 2 жыл бұрын
Well this is just my experience, the pubic transport system is great in Budapest but when I was there I found the cabs to be really cheap and a fast way of travelling around major a European city. If you know the city well, maybe you should create a video and let people know what you think is best to do.

Bolt is just 1 of around 15 taxi companies. All yellow taxis have the same price set by government. Gellert spa is more historical and beautiful than Szechenyi better to visit for tourist.

@jacklawsontravel

I mean the prices listed in the video are still accurate and if a city becomes popular inflation always follows, but even so it's still very cheap to visit. Especially when compared to other European cities.

@@jacklawsontravel agreed. it's just that Budapest was dirt cheap comparatively 10 years ago. now they are catching up, but are still cheaper then most big tourist cities. From the airport you can either get a cab for the most direct route but but cheapest is to get the airport shuttle bus called 100e to Kálvin tér M then it's a 14 min walk to the hotel. But if you don't want to walk you can take a tram from this bus stop to the Hotel Gellert.
