Very valid point about dreams and goals. To add to that: No one in the world is going to share your dreams or goals. Sure people will give you support but at the end of the day, they have their own stuff to take care of, their own dreams, goals, success and setbacks. Even when being in business for yourself, you never do anything alone. The people you hire, and the people you collaborate with will either make or break you. But if you're the type who doesn't take direction well, it is great not having a boss. I will say, if you're lucky enough to have a great boss who takes an interest in you, works as a mentor, and helps you grow as a person and employee....there is no substitute.
