Thanks for this video! I'm super sensitive to the sun, sweat, scents, and allergens in the air. Metal is the worst so all of my jewelry is wooden! Using a non foaming soap really helps as well. I didn't think about the fabric type being an irritant!

Atopic dermatitis is my biggest struggle (physically) ever since I was child. My condition forbid me to have fun under the sun, and go swimming because it would immediately react to heat. At the same time, I wasn't also allowed to go to cold places. Every time I do general cleaning, my skin immediately messes up. My patches were at my my cheeks, eye lids, elbows and knees, which contributed a lot to my low-self esteem and anxiety as teen. I looked as if I had "3D blush" because my cheeks turn red and EMBOSSED when irritated. My eyelids were so dry that it was kinda freaky. Growing up, I made an effort to do research on how to treat this, until I came across your channel about 3 years ago. I learned so much about taking care of dry and sensitive skin from you guys, and your tips miraculously worked unlike all other ways I tried following my dermatologists. I follow every lesson that I learn from your videos, and you definitely gained my trust. Since then, I became obsessed with skincare and I never stopped. And now, you're talking about atopic dermatitis (and I haven't even watched it yet), I want to say THANK YOU for helping me out with my skin concerns and inspiring me to take care of myself. Now I'm on my way to confidence and self-love. You are a blessing to us all! ♡

i'm so surprised to see a video on this topic on your channel but i'm also grateful. i've had atopic dermatitis my whole life and still suffer from it and i'm 23 years old. it's awful and i've found out about my diagnosis only last year cause before my parents used to think that it's an allergy. i was surprised by how many rules i've already followed naturally without me knowing what i should do particularly, just out of pure instinct

Had a very bad case of atopic dermatitis as a kid. I had no known allergies or health issues etc. then one day someone recommended I apply Aveeno moisturizer. I don't recall making any other specific daily changes but after using Aveeno, it went away. I'm *NOT* saying that was some cure, but that's the one main thing I recall since I stopped getting rashes.

I’ve literally given myself burns because I’ll take a hair dryer to my eczema because it’s “better” than scratching finally saw a traditional Chinese doctor and got it so much more under control 🙏. Also a huge tip from me would be to use ice compress it always makes my eczema stop itching and less inflamed, I eventually phased out my addiction to heat with ice packs so I have a whole freezer full of ice packs in case of flare ups. I also eat a ton of anti inflammatory foods such as ginseng, tumeric and ginger. I’ve had eczema my whole life and it sucks but definitely manageable! Also sleep with a humidifier that helps a ton. But also everyone is different and I just wanted to share a little of my journey if it helps someone out there too!

also, i’ve had atopic dermatitis all my life, and another tip (a very personal one) is to avoid black clothing because because the dye contains substances that help to hold the dye onto the fabric (such as formaldehyde, which i’m allergic to) that irritates the skin quite badly. for me it’s really hard to avoid black clothing but i try as much as i can!! also don’t stress your skin too much with cortisone, if the irritation is mild, try to use natural creams such as the calendula cream. right now i have really bad dermatitis all over my face and arms and i’m trying to cure it. even though i knew all these things i need a reminder to keep taking care of myself. i hope it gets better soon
@whymustklaudedie2 жыл бұрын
also the mental health tip is really true 😓 i have a sort of psychosomatic and atopic dermatitis and mostly all of it comes from stress aswell from substances i am allergic to that are REALLY hard to avoid (especially because i go to art school and i’m allergic to methylisothiazolinone wich is even in ink) so for me is kinda impossible to cure it. i can’t seem to calm myself down tho it always gets worse and worse

Hi! I just wanna share my experience about this. So i was 12 years old when something in my left eye started showing. My skin in my eyelids was so dry and I didn't bother it because i thought it would just disappear and my parents didn't even notice it because they don't have time for me anyway. And then I noticed it started growing big so it really got me down every day. So i did the most stupid decision in my life. I peeled the skin everyday when i'm going to school. So the skin started to grow thick. I'm already 13 years old and it's still here in my eye. I already visited 2 doctors, one told me to use cetaphil but i lost the lotion while i was in school. So my mom got mad at me and we visited anothet doctor and he told me to use Maxitrol and massage it into my eyelids 2 times a day but it still didn't work! Please help me. I'm still using Maxitrol for the mean time. It only grew on my left eye until now. This thing in my eyelid is really getting my confidence down. When school started everyone that would talk to me would ask whats in my eyelids and I got shy because of it. So pleaaaase help meee. Thanks a lot!❤

@thephilosopher57995 жыл бұрын
Stop swimming in chlorine pools, take short warm showers instead of long hot showers like many. Always have sometype of natural moisturizing cream. Use vitamin E oil after applying. Do this at least twice daily to see some result. I am 14 and i have had atopic dermatitis since i was months old and I didnt always moisturize and now I regret it because it will take at least a couple years to get rid of.

@rabosmalcheirosos58275 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I completely understand you, having it near or in the hands can get extremely complicated since you have to wash your hands frequently. :/ Maybe trying to minimise the times you wash that particular finger will help, as well as trying not to get it dirty often, I know ti may be difficult, almost impossible, but everything is worth a try to deal with these annoying problems.. :| And maybe my tip can be helpful to you, I left a comment with it a few minutes ago (sorry I'm feeling lazy and don't want to rewrite it all over again... 😅) I hope it ends up getting better :)
