She's right ya know. I've been battling hormonal acne/acne in general since my early teens and now that I am older I am finally JUST NOW noticing the pattern. When I go on a health kick is when I notice my skin behaving beautifully, and when it's the holidays and I pig out it just gets downright gross. Now that I have taken notice, I will def be more attentive to what I consume. Thanks for the video, this just reassures me that it is not in my head, bc I've been to SO many dermatologists and they all say food has no affect, but now I know and understand everyone is different- doctors treat/medicate all their patients the same.

I've had very stubborn hormonal acne (all over my face) ever since I started puberty, so for those of you who don't just get it around the jaw, I feel you! I've tried pretty much every prescription cream and pill available and the only thing that helped was the pill, but it gave me terrible stomach issues so I was out of ideas! Thankyou :)

I've been watching acne related videos for MONTHS, and in every video, they never really address forehead acne. I have really, really bad forehead acne and cheek acne, I never get it along my jaw, and rarely on my chin. How do I get rid of all my forehead acne? It's actually been lowering my self esteem.

You are completely right,Bubz! I discovered it myself that there is absolutely no magical remedy or product that will make this type of acne dissapear as many people believe. We should treat hormonal acne more from the "inside" where the problem begins. I used many products, I even visited dermatologist, and obviously nothing worked. My skin started to change when I changed my diet and lifestyle(I did exactly what you said:D) and now my skin is a lot better. It's simple, no philosophy required!

I have hormonal acne on my chin and some small pimples on my forehead. I do a simple cleanse routine. First of all, I cleanse with soap and water. Soap kills lots of bacteria anyway. Then I exfoliate because I want to open my pores and get rid of any dead skin that could also clog pores. Then I add a moisturiser. This means that my skin won't have to moisturise itself and produce way too many oils and stuff. Then I add a lotion/toner. This just makes sure that my skin will stop overproducing oils throughout the day. I heard Vaseline also works a a good moisturiser without clogging pores

I dont understand what's causing them cos I'm v careful and diligent in my skincare and in removing makeup and dirt. I eat the same things i did back in my teenage years :( Any ideas? I hate hormonal acneeee! I haven't had acne on my face since I was like 18 (I only got one zit on my back during my Voldemort - btw, I love that name), but since I stopped taking the pill 6 months ago, my skin has been crazy around my jaw line, and it's annoying like hell! But, nowadays, it's not as cray-cray, because my hormones are slowly starting to stabilize, but I still get pimples on my jawline. So, what I do is that I've changed my skincare routine on that zone and it helps a lot, even though I still tend to get an imperfection from time to time. The big thing that's annoying beyond everything else is that I have a ton of scars bacause of those stupid pimples! So, once again, I've adapted my routine to get rid of them, and they have subsided quite a lot these past 2 months :D What I do is that I scrub 3 times a week on that area (my skin is dry everywhere else, so that's twice a week for the rest), I've begun using pink clay (for sensitive skin) 3 weeks ago and it has worked wonders (once a week), and once or twice a week, I also apply a mixture of almond oil, carrot oil and apricot seed oil all over my face to mosturize, heal my skin and prevent future breakouts (nature is so amazing). And finally, once in a while, I also apply masks I make myself, usually a mixture of egg, oils and whatnot!

I think I might have hormonal acne. I saw my dermatologist a month ago. He said we would start by treating as if it wear regular, perhaps stress induced acne (I'm a 23 masters student). It's been a month and I've seen little to no change. I still have microcysts along my jawline. The acne on my back does seem way better (fingers crossed almost gone). I have perfect hygene, do 5 hours of dance a week, go to bed early, eat healthy (yuuum)... I'm afraid it really is hormonal acne. :(
