You guys rock! Coincidentally, this is the direction I would rub my knee/low thigh and get relief from bone spurs and arthritis in my knee! Your explanations and methods have encouraged me so much! I just turned 50 and was ready to just give up due to newly discovered bone spurs and pain in my right knee...because I already have severe facet arthritis (L3,4,5,S1and2), severe SI joint pain and bilateral arm numbness! After 26 years as a sonographer, the body mechanics used daily at work have worn me out in so many areas. Your videos have given me hope that I can feel better. Thank you so very much.

Tried this using the butter knife, I’ve been having knee issue from playing soccer. Retired playing few years ago but recently come back for a social league. My knee hates the twisting especially the next day. Been quad mashing and flossing but did this for about 5 minutes and it’s worked really well. Good work with the videos and great demo for people like me without the equipment.

Your BEST GUEST to date!! This Doctor is BRILLIANT and speaks so the lay person can understand! I went to a PT, who used the metal tools on me, telling me it's a BIG DEAL in the State of Maryland, you have to be trained and certified to use the metal tools. It was a while ago, so I don't remember what she called it, BUT it was dreadful!!! Certainly, hurt my neck, very uncomfortable and resulted in no pain relief. Now with this knowledge, I will use a butter knife, shoveling on my left leg above the kneecap, in hopes of some relief, this is a new symptom for me.

I was walking/running today up and down some stairs in a hurry and got sudden sharp knee pain. Got home and in an instant I see this video which was really helpfull. Anyway my knee pain was always a problem since I had skateboard injury where I was skating this wooden skatepark which was made of wooden boards and panels. One of the panels had a hole in it and a sharp piece of wood sticking out of it. Fell right with my knee on the sharp edge had a hole in my knee. Had to keep my knee straight for weeks so the wound could heal up properly, whenever I would bend my knee I would tear a wound. Had it pictured back in a day doctor said everything was in place nothing broken but hurted really bad. Since then, when I had that accident. Sometimes pain would appear even tho for most of the time I'm alright.

Rest and avoid anythung that can trigger the swelling and put ice on it in a plastice wrap for 20 minutes and repeat it a lot of times suring the day and you can compress it by a bandage and elevate your legs above level of the heart by adding pillows You can perform isometric exercises like Contracting your quadriceps without moving it And take anti inflammatory drugs

In October 1987, I had a WALL fall on me. A 6 inch thick by 8 foot high by 16 foot long wall that was pressure treated lumber fell onto my back. I had a 2 by stud land RIGHT on my spine and smashed my L patella onto a small rock. We were putting up walls to frame-out our basement so the house could be built. A strong wind came along and caused the wall to fall. Unfortunately it landed on me. 32 years later and 24 "Specialists" later(2019 is when I was told), I get told that I have OSTEOARTHRITIS in my L knee. I'm going on 49 in May. I'm now using a damn walker when my knee hurts or gets swollen. This morning I was woke up by pain that feels EXACTLY the same as growing pains in my knees. Got any exercises that COULD help my knees?
