I was diagnosed with hip arthritis for years. I was given cortisone shots, physical therapy, massage, etc. My hips did not show improvement. I had X-rays done, early on, but none done for follow up. It finally got to the point that I needed a cane. I just could not find relief. My PT said I lacked the motivation to get better. I moved back to my hometown and returned to my old doctor. First thing he do was order new X-rays. It showed that my hips were bone-on-bone, all the cartilage was gone. My hips were never going to get better. He immediately sent me to an orthopedic surgeon and I had both hips replaced within one year. It was a life changer. It’s been 2 years and I am pain free. I’m back to walking and jogging and I have lost 20 lbs. PT was absolutely necessary after my surgery and success depends on how hard you were willing to work. But please see a doctor if your pain keeps getting worse, despite how hard you try to improve.

So glad you saw another doctor, and shame on that PT who said you weren’t improving because you weren’t “motivated.” 🙄 Glad you’re doing better!

Curvy women (big hip and narrow waist) have the added issue when laying on their side. Using a pillow under the waist will help prevent back pain from the spine bending.

I love a 4" memory foam topper for my hips/butt to sink into the bed. It keeps my spine straighter.

I'm curvy. My method to reduce pressure on my hips while sleeping is the cut the middle section out of a mattress topper. The upper section still supports head to waist then the lower section supports thigh to feet. It has helped tremendously.

Thanks. I really needed this video. I have a lot of pain in my right hip and more focused than ever to see if I can resolve it without a replacement. Lost 22 pounds so far with keto so a huge reduction in sugar. This has helped the pain as I am not taking NSAIDS. Looking to lose more weight... at least another 35 lbs. These exercises are the next step.

Hip replacement surgery is considered necessary when the hip joint is so damaged or worn that mobility is severely reduced or there is pain even while the patient is resting. Hip replacement surgery is only offered when other less intensive treatments are not beneficial for improving mobility or reducing pain. I am a double replacement recipient and it’s like a miracle cure. Too bad you lose years of your life in pain waiting for the diagnosis, referral, and specialist consultation before surgery.

I have it hip Arthritis but don't really feel it. What I feel is my left muscles/tendons and Lt QL muscle. I have fibromyalgia and I'm assuming why it's always acting up. I stretch it, massage it and it won't let up. I love your videos.

Hey guys what are your thoughts on vibration plates/machines?

Hi guys thanks for this. I was lifting some heavy boxes and really messed up my back. It was much more than Spasms. I'm going to get a regular X-Ray soon. I don't know what's wrong and understand that back problems seem to get misdiagnosed often. Are these general exercises that are good for just about anyone with problems? ALSO Im in my rocker Lounge chair often with my legs up. Is there a correct position in this chair to reduce pain? Unfortunately it doesn't recline backwards very well.

I just did a few reps of each exercise as you did them and my hip pain has decreased by 60% in a matter of minutes 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮 The last 3 for the glute work, 3 reps and fatigue/burning was felt which tells me I need A LOT of work in that area. Thank you for the awesome videos that help thousands. Have a great holiday season with your loved ones. 😊
